I'm on my own And it's dark They put me in here I'm not mad.
They've shut me in a box Left me to die 'psychiatric hospital?!' I'm not mad.
I'm closed off In my paper bed gown Why 'gown'? Not at all majestic I'm not mad.
I'm only 20 Or 36 Or 70 I'm not mad.
I'm stumbling I'm terrified 'take your pills!' I'm not mad.
I'm lost And there's someone here! But I should be alone I'm not mad.
There's a girl here In the corner, crying 'Psychiatric hospital' I'm not mad.
