Ship Ahoy! The last peg hammered in The ship's together Let the voyage begin.
Hit the bough with a bottle Of our finest champagne. Her Lady Titanic! Let's hope it doesn't rain.
The people are happy, The rich and the poor The young and the old, Released from the moor.
It's April 12th 1912 The captain is over the moon. His crew are working hard The world's biggest ship to be home soon!
He closes his eyes for a second, relax! Ahh. The journey is going so well. He is tapped frantically on the shoulder From a member who's beginning to yell.
"Sir,Sir-" "Quiet, son! Let your captain bathe in victory! Please let this go well It will be all down to me."
"But, sir, up ahead, An iceberg! Turn the ship!" The captain jumps up. "Good god! Get to it!"
As he watched the ship sail Straight into the berg He just blocked out All the screams that he heard
The families die His ship passes too All because the captain Failed at the task he had to do
Is this the story? Of how so many people died? The captain, a foolish snob Or did he really try?
