It's difficult to comprehend sometimes how some could dedicate their life, almost entirely to literature. Because that's all religious scripture is, literature.

How is it possible to have so much faith? It's simple, it's the easy option! Why disagree when you can easily agree to be 'on the safe side'. It makes sense! Philosophers comment on it often, it's simple that God is the easiest explanation humans can fathom for the existence of the universe. In other words, belief in God is the easy option.

Why not believe in God? Because looking it from 'outside the box' makes it seem very, very odd. Why would religion just spawn out of human mind without inspiration!? Godly messages sent to certain men or (more likely) an easy way to control people, their beliefs and almost completely their actions. Tsar's in Russia, the Emperors in Greece and Rome and the Kings and Queens of England, all made valiant claims to have been sent by God! It seems to connect nicely to the oppressive ways that they reigned, and the control they managed to maintain.

Thank Goodness for forward thinkers. Otherwise we'd still be stuck in the Dark Ages. The people rule, not God.
