Chapter 11: Lola's Kindness

When they arrived at the hideout the assassin placed Lola on a bunch of autumn leaves, within the hideout, that was made out of long thick branches and giant green leaves to protect them from the awful weather. The assassin searched for some medicine that would come in handy to heal the wound. The assassin found some ingredients and placed them out neatly in front of him. He poured inside a clear glass jar some bee honey, rose petals, a pinch of powder that was a colour green and deer urine. The assassin mixed the ingredients around with a long stick, then poured it on a bunch of bright green leaves and placed it on to the wolf's left eye. Lola scrunched up her face because it stung like crap, when the leaves touched the wound. Soon the blood had been absorbed all up making the leaves turn a dark red. The assassin removed the leaves from Lola's eye and there was a massive scar from her eye brow down to her cheek. "Give me something so that I can see myself...Now!" Lola shouted. Rupert found the assassin's pocket watch that had a mirror on the inside. Rupert placed the pocket watch into the assassin's hand. The assassin opened it up towards Lola's face. Lola looked into the mirror. She gasped."My sister...she's strong...she's right I couldn't even make a mark on her...I am too kind hearted but I know, I need to do this, I have to fight her before Lupa kills anyone else," Lola wept in sorrow.

Rupert climbed out of the deep pocket and strolled up to Lola. "We'll help you to get stronger. You can train with us." Lola bowed her head in a way of saying thank you. "Thank you young rat oh and you assassin." A smile broke out on Lola's face knowing that she had some friends that would help her. They all stepped outside to help Lola find her confidence.

The assassin gave out the orders for Lola. "First I want you to cut that tree but it must be a clean cut, just think as if its skin, you would want it to be a clean cut for more damage." "Alright here I go!" thought Lola. The wolf got into position and swung her delicate claws at the tree. Her claws hit the target but her claws got stuck into the bark. Rupert walked over to the wolf. "It's alright, watch how I do it. I'm small but I am also strong and fast," Rupert squeaked. The little rat drew out his Jambiya; the Jambiya sparkled in the sunlight swinging the dagger directly at the tall tree. The wind circulated around the dagger that protected the Jambiya from becoming blunt. When the Jambiya made contact it made a clean cut through the tree, the tree leaned forward and collapsed to the ground making the ground rumble. "Wow you're strong." Lola explained. "It's easy to do when you master it, just focus on to the target and let your claws flow with the wind. The assassin was trained by me, he mastered this move within a month but he finely proved himself worthy." Lola tried and tried again until her paw was numb and her claws became blunt.

The assassin shouted over to Lola. "Lola! Come and have something to eat, you look exhausted." Lola strolled over to find a juicy fat hog roasting on a long stick that hovered above a bonfire. They each took a piece of meat but Rupert had the smallest section.

After lunch the wolf was ready to get back to training. She worked her but off until she mastered the move. On the sixth go Lola could feel the wind within her claws as she struck the tree. The power within her claws wasn't strong enough but Lola had nearly mastered it. "Lola you need to focus, you was nearly there, let the wind guide you," explained Rupert. "Let it guide me...what does he mean," thought Lola,"alright here I go, focus and guide." Lola lifted her paw from the ground and swung it at the target. "Focus, focus!" shouted Rupert. Lola then could feel the wind tickling around her paw. She focused the energy making it expand around her paw like a shield. The wind picked up speed guiding Lola's paw through the bark of the tree. Rupert had never seen such power before instead of Lola slicing the tree down, it left a hole in the middle of the bark. "Lola had mastered a new technique of her own, just like you assassin but she had mastered it within a day, impossible, maybe she would get her revenge after all." "Did you see me I did it," Lola said in excitement. The assassin walked over towards Lola and gave her a smile. "You need to give a name to your new technique," explained the assassin. "I call my new technique... Wind cyclone because it felt like a tornado flowing around my paw." The assassin was amazed of her power. "This would be your next task you will go head to head against me to find out if you really have lost the kindness within you," suggested the assassin. Lola and the assassin stood by each other glaring into each other's eyes. "Lola...when you're ready come at me," the assassin commanded.

The nervous wolf just stood there just staring into space "Lola...concentrate! What if I was your enemy, I would have had the first hit." "Sorry assassin," pleaded Lola. Lola rushed at the assassin bringing her delicate claws up towards the assassin's face but paused. Lola started to panic "Sorry I...just...can't hurt a friend." "If you cannot hurt me then you will not be able to fight your sister in battle." "I just need a rest that's all. I'll be ready in the morning sorry." Lola went over towards the hideout and lied on the pile of leaves. The Leaves were soft that made Lola snuggle down and went fast asleep. Lola became hot and sweaty because she was having bad dreams. In her dream she saw the assassin. "You are not ready come with me and I will heal the wound but you must trust me. You can't have your revenge in that state. Once you are ready you will have your revenge." Then Lupa's evil face flickered through the dream turning it into a nightmare. "You will never be strong than me sister, I have the power to injure a family in battle, you will never overcome it because your too weak and you do not have the courage to kill me in battle. Once your strong enough then come and find me but you will never pass me." Lupa's laugh echoed through Lola's dream. Lola shot up feeling all sticky and horrid.

The next day Lola became more confident. "Rupert, assassin, I am ready to begin." Rupert walked over towards Lola. "I'm sorry but I don't think you would ever get over your kindness, you will never be ready." What Rupert said made Lola angry and annoyed. "Give me one more chance and I will show you my real power!" Lola begged. Rupert looked at the assassin and the assassin nodded. The assassin said to Lola sternly,"Alright you will give you one more chance but you must show us that you aren't wasting our time."

They both got back to their position and Rupert watched the action up on a tree branch. Lola rushed in without any hesitation. "I'll show you how powerful I am. Wind cyclone!" Lola shouted while being confident in her self. The assassin just stood there, thinking that she wouldn't make any contact but he was wrong. Lola hit the assassin in the stomach flinging him up within the climate. Lola leaped up after the assassin. She wrapped her paws around him holding on very tight. Lola span seventy miles per hour, the impact from the tornado drop torn the assassin's cloak and pulled in dirt, boulders and also broke the tree branch that Rupert was sitting on. Rupert held on tight gripping his little claws into the branch. The impact was so strong it made a whistling sound that howled through the forest.

The captain heard the whistle and got the pack together. "We must hurry before the tornado reaches us, now lets move!" the captain commanded. The wolves sprinted through the forest making their way towards a river that was flooded and also had giant waves splashing up the sides of the banks. "Hurry pack move!" the captain called out. The pack dived into the river. The strong current pushed them down the long river but the wolves kicked trying to fight the current. Some made it across, some were drowning because they became tired, while chocking on the strong waves that forced them under. Fang and Lupa followed behind with Dopey gradually taking his time, misplaced his footing that made him roll down the bank and bumped into the captain. "Are you trying to kill me?" the captain questioned,"I'll show you Dopey." The captain gripped on to Dopey's neck with his long pointy fangs and tossed the confused wolf into the river. "Help...Fang...Lu!" Fang and Lupa watched Dopey get pulled under by the current vanishing under the waves "Goodbye friend," they both whimpered. Lola sensed that Dopey was in danger. Somehow it flickered through her mind showing what happened. She slowed down the tornado and sprinted through the forest, while the assassin crashed into the hard soil. "Where is she going Rupert?" the assassin asked. "I don't know but she's lost her kindness, this is a different Lola and she has become more powerful. Maybe she's ready for her revenge." "So you're just going to let her go!" the assassin shouted. Yes I am, so we will stay here for the night just in case she returns."

Lola had become a powerful wolf and the training made Lola strong. Now Lola can sense things happening. Will Lola make it in time or will Dopey Drown to the bottom?
