Chapter 35: Named and Shamed
As they galloped through the forest making their way to Trolls Bridge. Bogz began to feel sick, having butterflies in his stomach. He was thinking about what he was going to say to the Troll or even, what the Troll's going to do when they arrive. They dashed past where Jasmine fought Draco, taking back some memories about the battle but most of all, Arthur and Jasmine still remembered the photo of their father. The greatest summoner within Pandora. Jasmine had a flash back when Slither was in her snake form. She remembered that her book began to glow but the only time it should glow is when a Protection Force creature is nearby or when a Protection Force needs to speak. "This was before Falcon spoke to me, why did it glow like that?" Jasmine asked herself. Falcon spoke through the crystal, "I also felt it too but I'm not sure because not every Protection Force has seen each other and I don't recall seeing a snake before, plus I haven't even heard about the lightning Protection Force, though I know your father summoned him by me but he was too quick to find out what he looked like," Falcon paused for a bit, "no wonder we connected straight away. I didn't realise that the summoner was your father but now it all adds up." "I see," Jasmine sighed looking really miserable. Soon they arrived at Trolls Bridge once again, Ragz glared at Bogz warning him to hand the bag over. Bogz jumped off Sandy's back but went down like a tonne of bricks. Bogz picked himself up and gripped on to the bag tight. He headed towards the demolished building taking his time to prepare himself then... "Thief, you've come back for more. You'll regret to mess with Zebajin!" Zebajin slammed a metal heavy mallet into the ground making the soil crumble. He then gripped his hands tightly around the mallet while expanding his muscles. Zebajin charged forward not holding anything back. The mallet was raised above his head and his face was all tensed. "I'm sorry about what happened, that's why I've returned, to hand over what doesn't belong to me." "That's right kid, it wasn't yours in the first place." Zebajin had a bright red face like it was on fire. He scrunched up his face, while making eye contact to the goblin that stood there like a wet lemon, thinking what to do. Bogz noticed a circular metal shield picking out of the bag. He reached for the shield grasping tightly in his left hand. Zebajin swung the mallet for Bogz's head to knock him out stone cold but Bogz protected himself with the shield. The mallet clashed against the shield that made a crack in the centre. "That would have been your skull," Zebajin pointed out. Bogz slid the bag over towards Zebajin. "I haven't come to steal again? I've come to tell you that, I'm sorry for what I've caused?" Bogz grovelled. "Even though, you're still a thief! You shouldn't of done it in the first place!" the Troll bellowed. The Troll used all his force to swing the mallet once again at the goblin. Again Bogz just stared at the mallet that was heading straight for him. A tear fell from his cheek thinking about the pain that the mallet's going to cause and also that he'll miss his best brother Ragz. For everything he had done, bringing Bogz's true self back. "Goodbye, Ragz I...love you," Bogz mumbled. The mallet was an inch from his head, the goblin scrunched up its face thinking of the worst that could happen, "Hopefully it would knock me out so that I don't feel anything," Bogz thought. Bogz was still waiting for his brain to smash open. He gingerly opened his eyes and there in front of him, risking his own life was Bruno, who had grasped the mallet with his two hands using all his strength to hold the weapon back. Bruno tried to make Zebajin see what the goblin wanted by telling Zebajin some good things about Bogz, "Zebajin, he's not evil, he's just being controlled by the Dark Demon as a slave. You must trust him; he saved his brother Ragz from one of Jasmine's Protection Forces attacks and every time he's been with us, he had the chance to steal the book and wand but he never did because Bogz is a kind goblin. All he wanted was to apologise not to cause a fight." "Very well, but if I hear that this thief has stolen the wand and book for his master," Zebajin turned to Bogz then stared at him with hatred in his eyes, "I will haunt you down goblin." Zebajin took hold of the bag and went over to see Jasmine, "Why are you back so sudden?" "We're heading to Lightning Rod to find the lightning Protection Force." "Have you found any of the items I've asked for," the Troll grovelled. "No but there is someone who's great at making powerful weapons!" Jasmine suggested. The Troll's voice rose by Jasmine's answer, "You have! Who?" "I hate to say this," she said softly, "but it's Bogz." "What! You're joking right?" the Troll asked. "I'm sorry but it's our only hope, if you two work together and make the weapons, then we might be able to stand a chance in the war. I'm only asking until the wars over. Please Zebajin," The little girl begged. Zebajin thought for a while but Jasmine's stare wasn't helping. Her puppy sad face made the Troll give up, "Alright I'll take him on as a blacksmith but when the wars over I don't want to see his face ever again. You," pointing a finger at Bogz, "come with me, the summoner wants you to make these powerful weapons before the war starts, so you better get cracking." Jasmine smiled, "thank you and good luck. When the weapons are finished, take them to the castle, that's where you will meet Princess Yuna." "Alright and good luck to you for finding these Protection Forces, we'll meet again. Goodbye for now." Zebajin took Bogz by the demolished building, "First things first, we need to rebuild the Smith so that we have a roof over our heads."
The Pandora Team followed the path out of the forest. The light from the sun hit their faces, Jasmine and Arthur never felt better. It felt like that they were at home treading through the soft golden sand while the scorching sun heated up their body, until they were interrupted by Lola speaking to Sid. "Sid, I just want to know if we all can go to see my family first, I need to see if their okay, I'm worried about them and they might be worried about me too." "I don't know, I'm worried about Jasmine not making it in time to gain the Protection Forces because if we all go to see your family then the Dark Demon would gain his first Protection Force. We need to stop the Demon at all costs." "That's alright, see you soon." Lola rushed on ahead hoping her family are safe, hopefully Lupa hasn't headed over there straight after the battle by the angel's village. The others just followed the path with Sid leading the way. There was a long river travelling down to the side of them with lots of daisies bloomed out over the fresh green banks and a long wooden bridge stretching over to the other side. "Alright we've got to go on foot, it's too dangerous for the horses' to cross over even the bear and Sagittarius," Sid announced. "It's alright, I'll look after them until you come back," Sandy softly spoke. So Sid, Jasmine, Arthur, Rupert, Bruno, Ragz and Rose with Braxton and Sparrow steadily took their time to cross the bridge, that was unsteady. Jasmine could hear the river gushing down while smashing against the huge rocks that were evenly laid. She could feel the bridge sway back and forth, then side to side. This made her have another flash back, where they were crossing the bridge at Snowy Mountain. "Stop! I can't do this, what if I lose a member of the team, I'll regret myself." "It's going to be okay, we're nearly across!" Ragz called out. Jasmine took another step that caused the plank under her foot to give way. She felt her foot traveling even further into the bridge. She looked down to find herself heading into the river. Everyone was shocked and didn't know what to do until. Rose clinched Braxton's hand, then threw him towards Jasmine. Braxton clattered down, reaching out his hand. Jasmine could hear this clattering sound like bones rubbing together. She opened her eyes to find the boy puppet Braxton falling after her with his hands held out. Jasmine reached forward, her hand was an inch away from Braxton. Jasmine was heading for the river but if Braxton doesn't make it in time then she's going to smack her back against the rock that was sticking out. "Your not going to make it!" Arthur yelled. "Don't underestimate a puppet master!" Rose shouted. Rose realised some of her energy through the strings that boosted Braxton's speed. He zoomed down and caught Jasmine just in time, then Sparrow gripped its claws into Braxton's back and brought them safely back landing Jasmine on the other side of the bank. "Thank you Rose, I thought I was a goner." "It's alright, thank god I joined your team." Soon everyone got across safely and followed Sid. Jasmine was glad that she had good friends supporting her through the journey.
