Chapter 34: A Message within the Cell

Rachael was still locked up within the cell; she looked through the skeleton eye and saw a bright orange sky with a shade of purple creeping through. The mother had a gloomy face and was thinking about getting out of the dark, damp and unhygienic cell. The rat pocked its head out of the hole looking confused, "Rachael, I'm worried about the dragon. They usually are back before it gets dark. Something's up." Then a blinding light shone down on Skull Graveyard piercing through the skulls eye. Rachael covered her eyes with her right hand protecting her delicate eyes from the light. "Do not be alarmed, I have come with a message. Your children..." "What about my children, are they safe?" the mother asked. "They're doing great and they're within Pandora finding a way to save you and this world." "But you only can save Pandora if you're a summoner, that's what the rat said over there." "The rats correct, you only can protect Pandora is by gaining the Protection Forces and you only can do that if your a summoner. So Jasmine is doing her best finding these Protection Forces to save Pandora and get rid of the Dark Demon for good," the light spoke. "My daughter a summoner but how, we don't know anything about this place." The light began to fade, "The answer will come to you soon but your children are on their way." The rat had a smile up on his face, glad that a summoner had arrived within Pandora, "Did you hear that a summoner has arrived, where going to be saved ." The goblin pulled the shutter back and peered through, "Keep the noise down in there!" the evil goblin shouted while slamming the shutter. The mother felt weak, she hasn't eaten since the day she was captured. Her stomach was rumbling and growling for some food. The rat stared at the mother who was clutching her stomach, "I'll fetch you some food. I won't be long." The rat rushed inside the hole then followed it down making its way to the Dark Demon's kitchen. The rat sneaked out and moved ever so slow, creeping around so that no one would hear him or see a rat in the kitchen. The rat saw lots of food. Roast chicken, fresh loaf, cheese and a bowl of fruit. The rat hurried to fetch Rachael some food and before anyone found him. He climbed up the table leg and leaped across towards the shiny work surface. The rat placed the food into a carrier bag that he found on the work surface. Before he was going to head back the rat shoved two grapes and a slab of cheddar cheese into his mouth. Then the rat heard a purring noise coming from behind. When he turned, he saw a huge fluffy white cat, swishing its long tail glaring at its prey with its golden eyes. "Meow, lunch." "Oh I will pay for this after, don't you worry," the rat squeaked knowing what the cat meant. "I don't mean that, I mean you!" The cat pounced forward at the rat, which looked really petrified, with its sharp claws drawn out ready to kill its prey. The rat scurried away on its two legs weaving side to side dodging the cats every move. The cat knocked a bowl of fruit flying across the clean work surface. The rat jumped on to a juicy green apple and started to roll towards the cooker and the cat slipped and slid through the fruit making the work surface unhygienic. As they got closer the rat could see that the cooker had been left on. A bright orange flame with a shade of blue giving out gas fumes. The rat had quick glance back to see where the cat was. He saw the cat sliding towards him trying to balance on its feet. The rat jumped off the apple and stood by the hot cooker that was scorching the rats back. The cat came sliding in with a wide grin showing its white sparkly teeth. The cat thought that the rat was cornered so it swiped to catch its prey. The rat stepped to the side but was caught by the cats grasp. "Meow!" The cat didn't realise that its tail had draped over the cooker hovering over the scorching flame. Thick black smoke puffed out lingering in the air. The cat sniffed the air; it smelt like something's burning. Then the cat saw its tail lit up on flames, burning away all the white fur. The cat rocket up to the ceiling and then knocked all the chief's knifes flying that pierced through the fresh apple and another landed in between the rats legs. The cat rushed out of the window, which was wide open letting all the steam escape so that the kitchen doesn't heat up and become too sticky. The cat landed into the nearest pond, that was really deep, to put out the fire. The cat soon came swimming back to shore, while coughing up a fur ball, that was wringing wet by the cats syliver. The rat picked up the bag of food and hurried towards the hole. When the cook came back it was an old goblin, he wore a white high hat, a plain coat with black buttons and an apron with blood stains down the front. He had a moustache that curled in wards, long pointy ears and brown eyes. In his hand he carried a meat cleaver that had animal blood dripping off the ends of the blade. The rat had arrived back and handed the food to Rachael. "Thank you," she mumbled trying to sound energetic. Rachael shared the food out because she was a generous person. Their mouths began to water but it didn't take them long to took in. Soon every piece of crumb had vanished leaving just an empty carrier bag that lay on the murky floor.
