I lay in wait patiently while you make your way over. I ponder over what to drink, i decide to keep myself sober. You call as you can't find the venue. I try to find out where you are, standing up whilst tossing the menu. From a distance, i have a glance, the prance of you that's oh so mesmerizing. I stand tall and proud as you glide, very enchanting.

We sit and smile, the usual pleasantries. We go through the list of coffees, and the list of teas. Surprising, i decided to have a pot of camomile tea as opposed to the regular choice of a bastardized coffee. You choose a pot of earl grey tea. We catch up on the past week happenings. Of course, i added my usual ramblings.

I decide to be peckish and order some chicken cream pasta. One i know, compared to my culinary arts, would not be of par. You decide not to be like the fatty whom is me, and decide to eat sparingly. We chat some more and soon find ourselves joking. From Yo Mommas to the economy that's declining.

I cracked a joke, you smiled. I choked on a chicken bone, coughed so wild. You thought i was fooling, until i turned blue. But i coughed it out, it flew over you. We laughed and sipped more tea. The chicken cream pasta was just as expected - it was just food. We contemplate on sweets, but i'm not in the mood.

I just went to the gym you see, so i ain't so hungry. Sweets are not for me. Then i glance over the next table, i see this elderly couple eating with glee. The classic chocolate mudpie, pleasing to the eye. Then i realize that life is short and i'm a fatty, with little in life that makes me happy. I console myself and think of the next sip of tea, daydreaming, basking in the glory of your company. The loneliness and sadness melt in the tea.

We end our session with some dinner mint. Without being sure if you got the hint. I get the bill and pay my share. You were adamant, paying the whole bill, i did not dare. It was good while it lasted and guess we'll see. When we'll ever again, do coffee, or well, maybe tea...
