Dream Type: Lucid
I'll be honest, one annoying thing about dream diaries is that you have to write them as soon as you wake-up. One other problem? At those times I wish I remembered less.
What I remember: I remember the fact that there were portals in this dream, though I discovered that after. It all began with my family buying a penthouse at some elite plaza, the problem was that it was so weirdly organized that I couldn't find our apartment so I went one floor down only to discover the awkwardly stupid services that were offered: Spa Saloon (For Him, For Her) and such bullshit until I realized that they think every gender has the right to wear professional make-up. I just ignored it, kind of, and I guess I looked kind of a jackass since I looked like some model, with dat ass and everything walking like I'm saying: "I don't even need your fancy services to look so wanted.". Of course after seeing all that I was just heading to the south exit, the one leading to some kind of desert. So I was walking through the desert (not the north-African but the one like in westerns) following the path, and here I am, some ruined old oakwood structure that seemingly used to be a stable stands next to a huge rock by the road. That's where portals come. Of course, the first thing coming to my mind is climbing it (I love to climb) which is where I discovered the soon-to-be portals. The first ray of square panels was composed of 4 units, the second one of 8, and the last two panels where hanging behind all them in mid-air, hanging on wires that were hanging from the top of the rock. Of course I didn't think about climbing the huge rock to investigate as my first concern was to somehow switch the damn panels on. So what I did is that I broke the roof (accidentally, really...) and noticed some generator in one of the haystacks. I removed the hay and wiped the dust that was covering the generator which was a rather large cube with circular patterns. I lifted it up and the bottom panel fell off, I quickly turned the generators bottom to myself and here it was, the interruptor in the middle of that bunch of wires and separate batteries. I switched it on and went back up. Only one panel out of four working at the first ray, one out of eight on the back ray and both hanging panels were working. I thought they all were portals, but I was somewhat wrong. They did allow you to enter into another location, but they also transported you into some moment in the past. The first panel transported me to this same exact place but years ago. The panels were missing, the stable was not ruined, and as I entered in, I glared at the drunken party that a group of 5 young lads were having (I think their age ranged from 17 to 23 years old) around a primitive poker table. They noticed me and invited me to join in, not giving a fuck about me being inhuman. They were fun to hang around, drunk and half-conscious, energetic and happy. Soon, someone forced the gate: "Fuck, run!", said one of the lads as others tried to escape through broken windows, three of them managed to escape, the other two being to drunk to do so, one of them falling down as soon as he stood-up, the other tripping over his own leg as he tried to run to the window. I wasn't giving a fuck and waited. Two cops entered, their brown leather suit smelling of rests of varnish (dumb): "One of you will have to get tested.", thinking it would just be an alcohol test where I'd have to just blow, I stood up and approached. "Shit, I'm not even high and seeing things.", the dark-skinned man laughed. He took my paw and stabbed me in the arm, taking my blood sample, so I just closed my eyes and waited until he was done. He stared at my dripping blood and said to his partner: "Negative, we're done here.", and walked away. I was surprised and understood why the lads were so scared, my arm still hurt, my fur soaked in my blood. After bandaging my arm with some cloth, I tried to figure a way to get back, thinking I was stuck there, I rubbed the back of my neck and felt a chain, I unzipped my jacket and noticed a charm hidden in my dirty-white chest fluff. It was the pattern I've seen on the generator, there was a button on its back side so I pressed it. I went back to my time and found myself standing before the panel I've had just entered in. The charm was gone. My arm was healed, I cut the cloth and uncovered my arm, my fur was still tainted in blood but the wound was gone. I moved to the next working panel, and longly starred into it, hesitating. I could see an antic living room styled like in the Victorian era, so I just hopped in. Different space, different time, I wish I wasn't so curious. The charm appeared again, hanging on my neck. I tried to find a bathroom nearby and I did, so I washed my arm, desperately trying to remove the now dry blood from my fur with hot water. As I got most of it out, I heard a man yelling in the living room I had appeared in before, I rushed back. He was yelling at his ashamed-looking son, a paper on his hands. As he noticed me, he grabbed a wooden cross laying on the table with one hand, and a knife with the other, nervously mumbling a prayer. I quickly grabbed my charm and pressed the goddamn button, going back to my time. I appeared in front of that second panel. I sat down to take a rest, feeling confused and somehow scared, understanding that no one was used to beings such as me in the past. I glanced at my arm, there was little blood left, there was no source of water so I instinctively just licked the remaining blood out. I sighed. The two hanging panels were teasing me, knowing I am too curious to just ignore them. I deeply sighed, stood back up and just dived into one of the panels. It transported me to an apartment of the plaza, I could tell it's the past as no one seemed to notice me, meaning I'm probably exploring a memory. It was one of a child, he could hear the moaning of a grown female just as I could, he opened the door to his parents bedroom just to see them having lustful fun. His parents didn't notice, being too busy and the child yelled: "Stop hurting mommy!", I just went back to my time. I sadly understood that the panels are getting more and more fucked-up. I grabbed my wagging tail and stroked it to calm myself down. The last panel comported a satiric play about the absurdity of gay discrimination which made me laugh. I then went back to the plaza, found our penthouse, got into my room, jumped on the bed and fell asleep.
THE END
