Chapter 17
Suddenly even though I was willing to fight her off I let out this girlish scream that woke Fortis. "What's up" he says to me holding my hand and I glance the right in reply and Fortis turned. "You!, Get away" he snaps and withdraws a knife from his belt, "Oh please" she said smiling and quickly wizzed around us, "You won't harm a fly" and jumped in front of him, "Rahhh" she shrieked and Fortis stabbed his knife into her arm. "What was that for" she snapped, "You got too close" he retorted. "We made a deal" he snaps, "With who?" she asks, "Lubrica, leader of The Caeruleus" he saids glaring at her. "Why?" she asked, "You killed her sister, Cantet" he snaps, "Oh" she said and froze on the spot. This gave Fortis his chance and he got up and grabbed her shoving his knife in front of her throat. "I'll do it" he said tracing the tip of the knife in circles on her throat, "Do it then" she snaps "Make it quick". There was a long pause and Fortis chucked the knife into the bushes that skewered a rabbit. "Go Cap and make sure The Caeruleus don't find or see you" he says picking up the rabbit and pulls out the blood soaked blade and Throws the rabbit at Cap, "There, something to live on". "Thanks" she says and runs off into the distance. I think Fortis has forgotten what happens if she is spotted. "Ok Parva, let's go and get Vivos back and get out of this flipping forest". "Sure" I say relieved that I might see Claudere my little sister and Iratus my twin brother after all this time. We were walking in the forest closer and closer to Cinereo when I heard a thud behind me and quickly turned around. Phew it was Lubrica. "Hey, you found her yet" she says, "Yeah" Fortis says and holds up the blood covered knife . "Ok, put that away" she says pushing back the knife, "You can have him back now" she said smiling and tugged on a rope. On the other end of the rope was Vivos gagged, tied up and being dragged across the floor wasn't helping. "Pleasure to be doing business with you" she said and ran off to the passage way, "Lubrica knows Caeli and Caelum's passage" I whisper to them, "Well she is one of the leaders of the Nigrum Frigus" Fortis said while trying to cut Vivos free. "Give us a hand honey" he said and handed me a knife. Lubrica was amazing at tying knots and we were there on our knees in the middle of the forest our hands busy cutting the ropes. "There" Vivos wriggling out of the ropes and getting to his feet. "Off we go" Fortis says, "Where?" I ask, "Home. Home sweet home" he replies, "Where do you live Vivos?" I ask, "Kaylyle, south east. You live in the south don't you?" he says, "Yeah" I say, "We both live in the south". Walking home was sad, no more danger, adventure or weapons. Cinereo was close to Kaylyle so we made it back in no time. Over the gate into known territory. "Parva?" a voice said coming from my right as I help Vivos over the gate. I turned in the direction of the voice, "Claudere" I say and run to give her a hug. "Where have you been all this time. It was exactly a week ago since you disappeared and who are those boys" she said that left me speechless, "You can't have more than one boyfriend" she said, "Well, um, umm, Fortis the boy on the right is my boyfriend the other is just a friend" I explain and she ran off screaming "Mum, Iratus, Parva is back and has brought a boyfriend". "So" I say turning to Fortis and Vivos, "Who is Iratus?" Fortis asks, "My twin brother" I say. "I didn't know you had a twin" Fortis says, "He is quiet, goes to school early and likes things to go his way" I say. Then I notice my mum, sister and brother come out the house to greet us. "Hi everyone, this is Fortis, Fortis meet my mum Olly, my brother Iratus and my sister Claudere. Everyone this is Vivos, Vivos meet my mum Olly, my brother Iratus and sister Cluadere". I say but this is just awkward for Vivos. After everyone went inside its time for Vivos, Fortis and I to go our separate ways. "Vivos, will we be still seeing you around?" I ask, "Sure" he replies, "I'll be seeing you soon" he says "Ive got a little brother and sister to greet" Vivos says and hugs me then Fortis "Thanks for saving my life, how will I ever repay you" he says, "Ummm, bye visiting some time" Fortis says, "Sure" he said and ran off into the distance. "Well its our turn now" I say, "Yeah" he says and hugs me and whispers in my ear "I love you" and runs off "Bye". "You are not getting away with an ending like that" I shout and chaise him down through the streets of Kaylyle until I grab his shirt grinding him to a halt. "What type of ending would you like?, that one not good enough for you" he asks, "This one" I say and kiss him on the lips, for a long time that seemed like the perfect ending with no annoying distractions or interruptions.
