So cold out there, No flashing light, Everyone's in their lair, Waiting through the night

We'll all sleep alone tonight, Abandoning all the life, Then deserting it in the twilight, Leaving with all our strife

Tearing up the empty pages, Bag in hand we know it all, Spending our little wages, And that will be our fall

We throw our words away, As if they were not gold, Life cannot be put in replay, Disobeying the rules we were told
