Chapter 4
I stood in complete silence apart from Fortis who was sat in complete silence. "I'm just glad you're safe" he says expecting a late greeting kiss or something like that, "I'm glad you are too" I say and walk to the door, "Is something bothering you sweetheart" he says, "I'm fine, I'm leaving its cold in this room" I say and open the door but Fortis grabs my hand, "You aren't trust me it's normal temperature in here, are you coming down with a fever, have you got a cold, don't say you've got the flu or something" he panics, "What did I say about panic attacks" I snap and try to release myself from his grip but he's to strong. He places his hand lighting on my forehead, "Ow, Parva come with me" he said shaking his hand and I followed him to my room, "Where are you to going" Olly said, "She's got a fever" he says, "Are you sure?" she asks, "I had to care for Lily and Cody once when they were playing football in the rain for two hours and a half" he says, "I'll get ice" she says, "You were sleeping out in the rain last night" he said to me, "How, oh" I say quietly, "Go and get changed into your pyjamas" he says and I walked up the stairs leaving him behind. When I open my bedroom door straight away get changed and jump into bed, instantly falling asleep, "Wakey wakey sweat monster" Cap said shaking me to wake, "Ewww" I say spontaneously "Sweat", "Everyone needs to perspire" Fortis says rolling his eyes, Vivos pulls two stools one for Cap, the for him. I told you they fancy each other. "How did Fortis get up here?" I ask, "We found Lovefession at the bottom of the stairs and we asked him why he was sitting there and he replied because I'm closer to Parva. So we asked him where you were and he said in your room, she's got a fever so we carried him up" Cap said. "Ok" I say and close my eyes, "Ice is here" Cap says "No time for sleep", "Fortis can you hold the bag of ice on her forehead, I know she would take it off as soon as I leave the room" she says to Fortis and Cap and Vivos follow her out the room. "Take the covers off, you'll over heat" he says but I don't listen so he pulls them off with his right hand knowing that I can't sit up to pull it back over, "I've brought you two tea" Vivos said and it was usual cooked meat and bread with a glass of water but instead a jug of water. Vivos lays the tray on a table and leaves the room shuting the door behind him. "Everyone cares for you" he says wiping the water from my face, "Mostly cos I've got a fever" I say, "I will care for you whatever state you're in" he says, "You make me feel so heartless" I say "You have never been sick, if you were, I would have cared for you. It shouldn't have taken me to say it for it to show" I say turning over to face the wall. "I need to put the ice on your forehead" he says, "But, ok" I say and turn back over, "Here, eat something" he says and places a slice of stale bread in my hand, "Thanks" I say and take a bite and slowly chew on it, "Olly brought up some of her powerful paracetamols" he says and again wipes away the water from my face, "My hunger makes even stale bread taste like its fresh and edible" I say and finish the slice, "Here" he says and hands me a paracetamol and my glass of water, "What time is it" I ask stupidly, "I don't know" he replies "It must be close to eight", "Sometimes I wish life would be a little easier" I say, "Well, yeah" Fortis said realising it was true and life was immensely hard here. "Parva, how can you live with him, he's a dingbat" a voice comes from the door and Iratus was there, "Why do you give one? Usually you don't" I say shocked that he cares for anyone other than himself, "I just think you can do better" he says and Fortis gives him an angry look, "Fortis, you know no one could be better than you" I say trying to stop a fight but he doesn't acknowledge me. "Come on, he's clingy, weak and dumb. Of course you could do better" Iratus says smiling, "No Iratus, you are asking for it" I say trying to help, "Asking for what? He is as harmless as a fly" he said. Suddenly filled with anger Fortis rose to his feet and slammed Iratus againest the wall, "Parva is smart enough to make her own decisions without your opinions" he snaps and releases his grip "Get lost" and with that Iratus fled from the room. "You are standing Fortis, you're standing" I shout, "Oh, yeah" he replies looking down at his legs "Cool". I find myself getting out of bed and hugging him tightly nearly perfect apart from in the corner of my eye I see Iratus trying to make himself puke. So I decide to make things lots worse for him and stand on my toes to kiss Fortis but I can feel Fortis slipping to his knees slipping, "But me in my chair, please" he squeaks so I do what he asked and helped put him back into the chair, "Mum says its bed time, Parva you are sleeping in the study with your boyfriend and Vivos and Captionem is sleeping here" Claudere said poking her head through the open door grinning. "Ok" I say and push Fortis' wheelchair to the stairs.
