Does anyone else feel that the Voice is just head and shoulders above BGT?
I know it is tradition in Britain to enjoy humiliating TV, just look at a Saturday night: - Lemonaid - TV Burp - You've been framed - Take Me Out - BGT
All of these display people that are from different backgrounds, and some are terribly awkward.
But really - would you not rather watch an actual talent show?
The Voice offers so much more excitement. The auctions (now finished) were more exciting than the normal BGT routine (couple of mediocre acts, terrible acts, one brilliant star).
And now the face off really wins it for me. It's more exciting and doesn't involve you paying money for the winner. Instead, that's decided by the judges.
Instead of the winner going on to do nothing - the likelyhood is one of the singers on the Voice will be signed to a record company. Because they've been actually mentored by a talented artist.
Even though people may love Simon & David, I just hate the whole charade now. The Voice is an actual talent show. BGT is a show for anyone who thinks their talented.
