Chapter 20:jane

When I awoke, I saw Lucifer lay beside me asleep. Tears sprung to my eyes again as I remembered Lucas. His beautiful dark black hair, his amazing green eyes that reminded me of beaches and water. I missed him so much, I knew the pain of losing him would never go away. But I had even bigger problems. I was doomed to an eternity, in hell, with the devil. “Doomed?” Lucifer said, scaring me. “Yes doomed” I replied. I turned away from him. “You could have a nice time here” He put his hand firmly on my shoulder. “How? How could I have a nice time here? How can you even think that I could go on living without Lucas?” “Your with me” Lucifer said softly. I hated his soft voice. I hated his hand on my shoulder. I hated him. He removed his hand from my shoulder like he had read my thoughts. Maybe he had. “How does that make it a good time?” I nearly yelled. I hoped my words hurt him. “Haha have you forgotten who I am already? I am the devil. I am the king of hell. I am Darren. I am your fiancé. I am here to make you happy” “You are not my fiancé, you are not Darren and you haven’t made me happy” my voice was a little shaky from the tears that rolled down my face but it still sounded angry “Oh come on darling. You have to face who I am. I can look like Lucas if you like. I can even act like Lucas” Was he insane? Did he not know how much pain I was in? “No, please” I begged “Look at me” I didn’t want to but something made me. I turned to look at him. But it was no longer Darren or the devil it was Lucas. “Jane” he whispered. It was Lucas’s voice. Lucas was there. He leaned in to kiss me, so I kissed him back. “Jane I love you” “I love you too Lucas” He hissed and backed away from me. “What? What is wrong?” All of a sudden Lucas was gone and Lucifer was in his place. My heart shattered into a thousand tiny pieces. “I can’t take that.” He spat. What did he just say? “Don’t you dare call me Lucas” His voice was mean and I knew what was coming. I shuffled back preparing to be hurt “Call me god or angel from heaven if that pleases you but just don’t give me that repulsive name” he hissed. He didn’t want to be called Lucas? “Why?” I whispered “I don’t want to be him. Do you understand?” he roared, I only nodded. With my heart shattered and my life over I cried for sympathy. From someone. From anyone. “Good” Just then music started to play. I looked around, where was it coming from?... All our time has come… Here but now they’re gone. Seasons don’t fear the reaper nor do the wind the sun and the rain. We can be like they are… come on baby… Don’t fear the reaper.. Baby take my hand... Don’t fear the reaper. We’ll be able to fly… Don’t fear the reaper. Baby I’m your man... La La La La La. Then Lucifer picked up a small phone off a desk. “What?” He growled into the phone. “What time?” He nodded his head “I’ll be right there” “What’s wrong?” I said sheepishly. Why was I even concerned? “Someone needs to talk to me. Don’t leave this room! Don’t even get off this bed, not until I come back” He left. What the hell is wrong with him? My brain shouted… About 20 minutes later, I got up and walked to the door. I heard voices. “Of course he’s not dead” shouted Lucifer “If she thinks that it’s a whole lot easier for me” Were they talking about henry? “But master, he’s coming. He’s going to take her” A voice replied. No henry’s coming! “He won’t, it isn’t possible for him to get though in just six days. Anyway the violent won’t let him pass” Now I knew they weren’t talking about henry. Oh my god. They were talking about Lucas! Lucas was alive! “They have. He’s already on the next stage.” The voice shouted. “How did this happen?” Lucifer roared. Was that panic in his voice? “His brother eddy” The voice said. Lucifer hissed and I heard something smash. Wait… brother eddy? “I’ll kill him” I’d had enough so I stepped out onto the corridor and waited for them to see me. Lucifer snapped. “Get to your room, I’ll deal with you later” I ran back into the room and jumped onto the bed. LUCAS WAS ALIVE!!! My head screamed. I had to get out of there, but how?

Chapter 21:lucas Thieves of the night. Ouch!!! Two guys grabbed me from behind and threw me to the floor. I hit my arm really bad. “Give us all your money?” Not this again. I spent my last 20 on my life in the greed stage. “I don’t have anything” I said. My life hung in those words. “Mind if we search you? We are going to do it anyway” I rolled my eyes. I looked around to find I was in a casino\ bar. Gangs hung around searching people for money, men stood on tables preaching about the end of the world and god. Guys stood around them shouting about how god wasn’t real. How the hell do I get out of this one? I thought. “He’s got nothing of value” Shouted the guy who was searching me. His boss looked at me. “Well go on. We can’t have you spoiling our fun” He grabbed his knife. “Wait!” I said halting him “Please, all I want to do is find my girlfriend and go far away from this place” “Where’s your girlfriend? I’ll look after her once your dead” He laughed. I wanted to bite hid head off “She’s not one of them down there. Is she?” He pointed to a group of girls. “Mate, if it is you’ve lost her. They are the seducers. But now I have all the more reason to kill you” He laughed again. “No. She’s not one of them” I said shaking my head. “She’s with him” I said sighing. “Haha. That means your Lucas. We won’t take pity on you here if that what you’re looking for” Why did everyone know’’’’ my name? “Yes I am” I answered “You want pity? Or your names Lucas?” I was going to hit him any minute now. “My name is Lucas” “Hey we gotta kill you now!” he announced, raising his knife. He stabbed me. I cried out in pain but I knew I wouldn’t die. Pulling the knife out of my heart, I realised that the wound was already healing. “Right” I shouted “You gonna tell me how to get out of this place or am I going to kill you” His jaw dropped. “I’m not telling you” he said after his shock had blown over. “Someone tell me or he’s dead” I shouted loud enough for everyone to hear. I jumped and pulled the knife around his neck. The seducers screamed. “Kill him” Someone shouted “Oh thanks Nate” Shouted the guy under the knife “Nate!” I shouted “Tell me or this guy gets it” “Nah. This is too much fun. Sorry Sam” I got ready to slice Sam’s throat “Wait! I’ll tell you.” Shouted Sam “Tell me now” Had I gone insane? No! I had half a day left and I needed to save Jane. I was desperate. “Door… cabinet door” He breathed out “You’re coming with me” I announced “What?” He squealed “You heard me. Now move” He took me to the cabinet door and I pushed him inside, climbing in after him…

Chapter : Jane Defiance I jumped off the bed and hid behind the door. It swung open. “Jane. I know you’re in here. Don’t hide. I won’t hurt you” He called. I didn’t believe that. Once he had walked into the middle of the room, I slipped from behind the door and ran out of the room. I knew he’d follow, but I had to at least try and get away from here. To get to Lucas. I ran through at least ten rooms, until I reached the entrance I had come through. I opened the front door and ran out. I leaped from the steps onto the path and ran as fast as I could. All of a sudden arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me back. I struggled and screamed. “You can’t run away from me Jane” Lucifer whispered in my ear. “I will always find you” He dragged me in and threw me to the floor. Did my life have to be like this? I got up and ran to a window. I smashed it and jumped out. Hot glass sliced my feet as I ran, but I didn’t care. I needed to get away. I needed Lucas so badly. Where was I going to go? All I could see for miles was fire and concrete paths. Five minutes later, I turned my head slightly but I was surprised find him gone. I stopped, I’d done it. Panting, I faced forward. He was there, stood in front of me not out of breath. “Where are we going Jane?” he asked as if nothing had happened. My jaw dropped. If it wasn’t attached to my face it would be on the floor right now. “I am going home. Not we. There has never been a we. My mother needs me she’ll be worried sick. I need Lucas.” Hot tears ran down my face. “Well. Your mother thinks you have gone to Rio early. As for Lucas, he is on his way here. I know I said he was dead but your little ‘I’m going to find out what’s going on’ stunt ruined my little lie” “little lie?” I was furious, so I decided to calm myself with another question. “How did you know about Rio?” He smiled “I am more than just a pretty face” he said “And you’re not even that” I hissed. He put one hand around my throat and lifted me of the ground. I started to choke and squirm. “Please” I managed to get out before he dropped me. “Let’s get you home darling.” He grabbed my arm but I pulled back. His nails dug into my skin. “No.” I replied. “You don’t want me to hurt you do you?” “I don’t care what you do to me. I-” He smiled and forced his lips upon mine. This felt different from all the other kisses, poisonous. I fell down to the ground. “Sleep now Jane” he said and I did…

Chapter 23: Jane “Jane? Jane baby are you awake?” A voice called. Lucifer!! I sat up and kissed him. I loved to see Lucifer in the morning; he was always the highlight of my day. “Morning sweetheart” he whispered in my ear. “Morning Lucifer” I smiled. What happened last night? I couldn’t even remember going to sleep. I knew I had to remember something. Someone. Luca… Lu… l. I didn’t know, so I decided to forget about it and just enjoy myself with the presence of my beautiful fiancé. “You look beautiful this morning” he complimented, I blushed. He was always like this, he made me feel like the happiest girl in the world sometimes. “So do you.” I leaned in to kiss him again. “Emmm… Baby what happened last night? I don’t remember. I-” He cut me off with his smile. “We were sat on the window ledge talking and then you fell asleep on my shoulder” Somehow I still couldn’
