An angel in hell
Epilogue: Jane The end. Five months later me and Lucas were sat under an old oak tree. We were having a picnic. We had grapes, sandwiches, pasta and lots of other things. “Jane?” Lucas asked. “Yes” I replied turning to him. “Catch” He threw several grapes at me. They all hit me on the nose. I laughed. “That’s it. You asked for it” I jumped at him, knocking him to the floor and I kissed him. His lips were soft and they tasted like fresh apples. We both lay down together, I lay my head on his muscular chest. The clouds passed us by. “Jane, I have something to ask you” He announced. “I have something to tell you. But you go first” I replied. I needed to tell him life changing news. “Stand up first” We both stood up. The next thing I knew Lucas had firmly taken hold of both of my hands and got down on one knee. Oh my gosh. Was he going to-? Oh my gosh. “Jane.” He said. My breath caught in my throat and my heart raced. “I love you and I want to spend every day for the rest of my life with you. Will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?” Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh my head screamed. Yes. “Yes” I answered. “Yes” I said again, this time a little louder. He pulled out a small box from his pocket and my heart sang. He opened the box. A diamond ring glittered inside. My jaw dropped. How much did that cost? 50,000? Oh my gosh. “Do you want to try it on?” I nodded, i was speechless. He pulled out the ring and slid it on my finger. I smiled. The grin on my face made him smile too. I kissed him. “Thank you” I whispered. My life would never be the same now. “You deserve it. I love you” “I love you too Lucas” We kissed for a while until he made my heart drop. “Now what did you want to tell me?” oh god. How was I going to tell him this? How would he react? “I… I…” I stammered “Lucas I’m pregnant. It’s your baby” His jaw dropped. Shock washed over him and then he smiled. “I’m going to be a father?” He asked. His eyes were filled with tears of joy. “Yes Lucas you are” He kissed me. And then I knew we could all be a family…
