Biteless
Chapter 1 “Christine” Shouted Jessica, my friend, from across the classroom. She had long, wavy blond hair that she always wore out, dark brown eyes and lots of freckles. “Yeah Jess” I was completely different, I had long, straight, ginger hair that I always wore in a bun, light green eyes and few freckles. “Wanna go to the movies tonight?” She asked. Jessica’s free time never ended, she was always going out. “Cant tonight” I replied, I could, I just didn’t want to go. It was a simple lie. “Why?” Darn I’m going to get found out… Excuse. “Dinner. With. Family” Worst excuse ever. “Oh. Another time then?” She didn’t think I was lying. Phew. I picked up my skulls and roses backpack. “Yeah sure” I walked out of the classroom, down the stairs and out the door before I walked home. My mum stood in the kitchen baking. She was covered in flour and the kitchen was a mess. Nice job mum. Who was she trying to impress? Surely not her new boyfriend Jake… “Hey honey, how was school?” My mother asked. “Good” I lied. It was an ok day but not great. “Hey, I’m going to go out with jess tonight” Another lie. “Ok bye” I walked out of the door. The wind was cold and it hit me like shards of glass, but I wanted to stay out. 10 minutes later I found myself sat on a homemade swing in the middle of the forest. I was waiting for something to happen. Anything. I wouldn’t even mind if war broke out in this peaceful place. I was bored and lonely, so I needed something to happen. I felt a cold breath on my neck and I had a strange feeling that someone was watching me. That’s when I saw a flash of silver. I jumped up and turned around to find a guy with a knife. He stared at me blankly before dropping to the floor. A boy stood behind, blood covered his face and teeth. He looked about my age, 16. My eyes widened so he flashed his teeth. The first thing that came into my mind was… VAMPIRE. “Get out of here” He growled but before I could run I fainted…
Chapter 2 I woke up on the ground with the boy standing over me; his face no longer was covered in blood. “Are you alright?” He asked, as if nothing was wrong. “What? No. I’ve just seen you kill a guy why would I be alright?” I squealed. He took my hand and pulled me up. I stood back. “Come here” I shook my head “I’m not going to hurt you” Run. Run. Run. I ran but the boy ran after me and managed to put his hand around my mouth so I couldn’t scream. He pulled me deeper into the trees. “Now. When I move my hand I beg you don’t scream” He removed his hand and I didn’t scream “Thank you. Now I’m not going to hurt you ok. I promise. Just tell me what you saw” I nodded. “I saw you with blood on your face and your… teeth” The boy looked at me, his eyes showed hunger and pain. That’s when I really saw his beauty. He had dark, fluffy, brown hair, pale white skin, bright red lips and… Oh my gosh he had red eyes. Bright red eyes that were unbelievable hard to miss. How did I miss his red eyes. “Go home and forget everything that has happened” He breathed. I shook my head. “Forget me. Forget my face” He let me go and ran away. How the hell was I going to forget that I was nearly murdered and saved by a guy? I don’t know how I did it but I did. Three weeks later my mum called me down to the kitchen. It was holidays so I usually camped out in my room. “Christine?” She asked “Yep” I said. “Since it is the start of summer I thought you might like a summer house all to yourself” My jaw dropped. “Yes” I screamed, jumping with joy. “I knew you would like it” She smiled. “Where is it?” I needed to know as much information as possible. “America” Oh my gosh, they have amazing summer houses. “Oh my gosh. When?” “Tomorrow, also there is two tickets so you can take a friend” This is some sort of dream, right? “Seriously? I’m taking Jessica. I need to ring her like now. Thank you” I raced up the stairs and grabbed my phone. “Pick up the phone. Oh my gosh Jess would you like to come to America with me? Free of charge” I could hear her squeak with excitement. “Seriously? I’d love to” Jessica squealed. “My mum just bought me a summer house” I said. “When are we going?” She asked “Tomorrow night so get packing”…
Chapter 3 Jessica and I stood at the airport talking about books. Teen age fantasy\love books. “Hush Hush is a great book. I am team patch” I said. “I’ve never read that but I’m so going to now. Have you read Halo?” Jessica replied. We loved books, it was like our favourite pass time. “With Beth and Xavier. Yeah! That was so sweet. Hades was better, Jake is so cute” My voice was soft. Why did I always like the bad guys? I mean come on, seriously I even liked the green goblin in spider man. “No, I like Xavier” Jessica on the other hand was different; she was always with the good guys. She even liked superman. Ughhh superman what a bore? “He’s not for me” “How about Twilight then? I mean I know you’re like totally team Jacob because he’s like rouge or something” Jessica laughed. “Of course Edward just misses the point. Vampires don’t sparkle” I replied. Ok… So vampires don’t sparkle but werewolves are real. What world do I live in? “We all have our own opinions” Jessica sighed “I guess so” We laughed for a while until our flight was ready. Our plane left at 20:13pm (8:13pm) and landed in America at 4:19am. Although the American clock said it was 11:19pm. Ughh so confusing. “Let’s get a taxi to your summer house, then we can check it out” Jessica suggested “I can’t wait to see it. Did your mom give you the address?” “Yeah, I can’t wait to see it either” We grabbed our things and got out side. It was quite warm for the night time, but it made me feel happy so why complain? “Can I help you with those?” A man asked, in a familiar voice. “No I’m fine th-” I looked up and saw the guy that I had seen in the forest that day. Was he following me? “anks” I finished off… “Are you sure?” Defiantly not. You killed a man. “Yeah” I said in a high scared voice. “Ok. Bye” He said and walked off. “What was that all about? You practically got rid of the guy, he was so hot” Jessica moaned. “Jessica, I think he’s following me” I whispered and looked over at him. “W-what? Why?” She asked. “I don’t know he was back in England, in the forest” She nodded and then shook her head. “It’s a different guy. I’m sure. I mean it could be his twin brother or something” “It must be” I sighed. “Besides he’s too cute to be a stalker. Oh taxi” Jess shouted. An hour later we pulled up outside my summer house. It was massive. I mean massive. Our jaws dropped. Even in the dark you could see the glow of the white walls and the shine of the pool. We got out of the taxi and Jessica paid. She insisted since she couldn’t pay for the tickets. “Oh my god. Are you serious? I didn’t need a bikini for the beach, I’m going to be exploring this place for seven weeks” We had eight weeks of holiday this time and we were already a week in. I laughed. “Wow” There was a pool, a MASSIVE garden, a small tree house, A CAR! and a small shed. I smiled “Jessica! We get this for seven weeks” Hmmm where was the keys to that car? It was a black, convertible BMW. “I know, I’m like freaking out right now and I’m like extremely jealous that this is all yours” She laughed. “Can we have a look inside?” You could tell she was a little over excited. “Sure” I replied, I pulled the key out and opened the door. We walked through to the living room, it was amazing. A flat screen TV, two expensive leather couches, a fireplace and a large bookcase full of my favourite books sat in the room. Jessica ran to the bookcase. “Oh my gosh you have the new Hush Hush and Halo here. You have finale and heaven, they haven’t even come out in the UK yet” Jessica was squealing with joy. Haha just like her, an amazing summer house and Jessica wants books. Haha. I turned on the TV. Oh my gosh phantom of the opera was on. My mum so knew me. Me and Jessica were like HUGE phantom of the opera fans. We had been to see it five times this year, in theatre. “Phantom of the opera” We both squeaked. Jessica smiled as Gerard Butler, the guy playing the phantom, sang music of the night. “Can you pause this? I wanna go and pick a room” Jessica was so happy. “Jessica it’s a DVD of course I can” We walked upstairs. The first room we came to, I fell in love with. It was luxury. A double bed sat in the middle of the room and it had a balcony. It had a flat screen TV, a little smaller than the one downstairs but still and a copy of phantom of the opera, twilight, new moon, eclipse, love never dies, breaking dawn, grease, hairspray and abduction sat in the cd cabinet. “I am so having this room” I squealed. “No way. This is my room” Jessica argued. “Maybe we should look at the other rooms” Haha you’re going to like a different room so I can have this one! “Yeah” All the other rooms were pretty much the same, but they had different colour schemes. In the end Jessica picked the blue room and I picked, my original favourite, the purple room. That’s when we brought our suitcases upstairs and called it a night…
Chapter 4 I couldn’t sleep that night, so I got up and opened the door. I sat in the garden, in my hot pjs, when I heard a crunch. It sounded like leaves being stepped on. No not stepped on, leaves being shook. The tree. I looked up to find that boy, sat at the top of the tree watching me. I got up and ran in, locking the door behind me. Oh my gosh my window was open. I ran upstairs and into my room. My window was now shut… My heart started to pound and I felt hands slip around my mouth. “Don’t scream” He whispered “I promise I’m not here to hurt you” I took sharp breaths. “If you keep doing that you’re going to pass out. Try and calm down” I did as he said and calmed down. “Very good, now I’m going to remove my hands, don’t scream” He pleaded and let go of me. I spun around to face him. He still had those gorgeous red eyes. “What are you doing here? Did you follow me?” I hissed in a hushed voice that wouldn
