Chapter 6 Who are you?
The whole way home Lucas was silent, he would tell me what was up with him. I kept thinking, trying to figure out what made him stop in mid-sentence back in the park. What scared Lucas? What was his secret? How was it possible for him to know exactly what I was thinking? “Lucas” I said when we had reached my house “Who are you? What’s you secret?” Lucas remained silent until he saw my face. I must have looked so upset, I was. “Jane, I need to tell you a secret. You have to promise you won’t tell a mortal.” He said “You say that like you aren’t human” “Jane…”he moaned “Ok, I promise I won’t tell another person” I put my hands on my heart “I’m… I’m an angel. I’m your guardian angel Jane. And if you tell anybody, even your mother, I will be gone… forever!” I sat there in shock. “Your seriously not joking are you.” “No. Emmmm maybe it would be better if I show you” “No… no its fine. I believe you. I have been dreaming about it” I confessed “You’ve… you’ve been dreaming about me” “The first dream was the night before the first history lesson, the one where I was sat next to Penelope.” Lucas was shocked. “I was with you. You had massive white angel wings and I was being pulled away by something and then it all goes black and I wake up.” Lucas was shaking. Tears were streaming down his face. “Lucas what is it? Lucas. Please tell me.” He gulped “Jane. Jane love. That was the day you were born”…
