Chapter 7 The house “What? Please. Lucas explain.” I pleaded “I don’t care how long it takes you” “Maybe we should go inside” I nodded. I grabbed the keys out of my bag and opened the door. The house was trashed. All the coats were flung on the floor. The carpets were ripped up. The doors hung off there hinges. I dropped my keys and closed my eyes. When I opened my eyes I was lay on the couch with a blanket covering me. Lucas was fast asleep on the other couch. What had just happened? Or should I say what had happened hours ago. The clock read 3.29. I sat up, my head was hurting. I got up and walked silently into the kitchen. I pulled down the first aid box and grabbed the paracetamol. I took two and put the box back in its place. When I turned around Lucas was stood in the doorway. I jumped. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to frighten you.” Lucas said “Apology accepted. What happened?” I replied “Well you kinda blacked out” “I did? I’m sorry I-” “What are you apologizing for? It wasn’t your fault” he said “It’s just… before I blacked out and before I left the house actually I saw it completely trashed, I close my eyes and then when I open them again everything is black to normal” “That’s strange.” Lucas replied “May I” he held out this hand, I grabbed it. He stared into my eyes and appeared to be examining me “I think you have been drugged.” “What!” I shouted. He walked over to the cupboard grabbed a glass, filled it with water and handed it to me. “Drink this” he instructed. I did. My head started to feel a lot better. “Thanks” I said “You’re welcome” I thought about being drugged. Who would do that? “I don’t know but when I find out” he hissed “Thanks” I repeated. I then thought about the conversation we had earlier and Lucas must have heard. “You really want to know don’t you?” he sighed “Ok before you were born you were a wandering soul in heaven. You were my also my amazing girlfriend.” I smiled “Well 16 years ago I got the job of guardian angel, I was going to tell you but you were snatched away and put into your body. That’s your dream. Later I found out my first human to guard. It was you.” He explained. “Wow” I said. I felt quite calm “How are you so calm about this?” “I don’t know. It just seems amazing. What you are, what you do” I replied smiling “so, does this mean-” he cut me off I knew he’d read my mind “Yes, it means your mind girlfriend. If you want to be. Do you?” he asked “Of course I do.” I smiled and hugged him. In response he kissed me. “You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting to do that” I smiled. Oh my gosh my boyfriend is an angel. I thought
