Chapter 18 Katie's POV Jake and I stood in the pit at the very front. It was cramped, but I didn't care. Jake enjoyed it. He sang and held onto me tightly so I could drift away in the large crowd.
We walked through the door of Jake's house. It was so hot inside. Way too hot. I pulled my shoes off and went into the living room, Jake followed behind. He pulled me into his arms and kissed me. I giggled as he picked me up in his arms and put me gently on the couch, not breaking the kiss once. The lights flicked on and I let out a little squeak when I saw Ethan stood in the doorway. Jake grabbed my hand tightly. "What the hell are you doing in my house?" He shouted. "How did you get in?!?!" "Window and I am I here to make sure she is alright" Ethan looked down at me. "But I see now that she lied about being sick" Jake chuckled to himself and wrapped his arms around me. Ethan's face changed, his expression was unreadable. He stormed out of the door. No. No. No. "Ethan" I called after him. No answer. "Ethan" I got up to leave. "Leave him" Jake whispered in my ear. "He'll be fine" I didn't listen to him, I just ran after Ethan. I chased him down the street, calling his name, and then I followed him into a dark ally. I couldn't see him now. Should I do deeper? "Ethan" I called again, quieter this time. "What?!?" I could sense him. His hot, fresh, minty breath was on my face. "What do you want?" "I'm sorry" I whispered "Why are you dating him?!?" He spat. "I'm not-" He cut me off. "Don't lie. I know you you are" I'm not even dating Jake. I never was dating Jake. He's a great guy, but he doesn't like me like that. Obviously.... He isn't the type for keeping relationships. "I'm still not-" Ethan cut me off again. Ugh. I was going to hit him if he did that again. It was so annoying! "I don't care" In one swift motion, he pushed me against the wall and put his arms either side of me. I was trapped. "What do you see in Jake?! I could be like him" His lips were so close to mine. "I-" No. I couldn't kiss him. Of course I liked him, just not like this. "Just kiss me. He can't see you now" "I don't think-" Ethan rolled his eyes before smashing down on mine. I tried to move, but he pressed his body against mine and gripped onto my wrists. His lips were rough and forceful. Shoving him wasn't and option either, he was too heavy. All I could think to do was stand there paralysed. Where was Jake? Jake..... Jake... Jake.... "What the hell do you think you are doing to my girlfriend? Get away from her!" Suddenly, Ethan went flying back, landing on bags of trash. I saw Jake to the side of me. His hands were balled in fists and his breathing was heavy. I slid down the wall and covered my face with my hands.
Jakes POV.
I turned the corner, stopping at the entrance of a dark ally. Where was she? I'd been out here for 10 minutes. Where could she possibly be? Maybe she had gone back to the house.... I should go back there now.. "Just kiss me. He can't see you now" I heard someone say. Was that Ethan? "I don't think-" A girl started, but was cut off. Katie. That was Katie's voice. Which means.... Oh god. I ran down the ally. It only took me a few seconds to find them. Ethan was pressed against her and she was struggling to get him off. "What the hell do you think you are doing to my girlfriend? Get away from her!" I shouted. I grabbed him by his jacket and threw him back making him land in some trash. Anger. True anger. I don't think if ever felt this before. It made me want to hurt him so much. To kill him if I had to. He got up quickly and I punched him in the jaw making him fall back again then I kicked him in the stomach. He groaned. Yes. He deserved this. All of this. I kicked him again and again and again until he was bleeding. I looked around. Katie was crouched down on the ground covering her face. "Katie?" I approached her slowly. She looked up. "Please take me home" She whispered and I nodded. I wrapped my arms around her and carried her back home....
