Chapter 11 I paced the hallway for an hour before Patch came back. He looked happy. “He’s not what I thought he was” What? He’s Tony, he’s my ex-boyfriend, he’s a criminal, he’s a human. What part of that is hard to get? “He’s Tony yes but he’s not human” Ok now I’m starting to freak out. What the hell do you mean he’s not human? “What?” I shouted, patch didn’t try to calm me down. “He’s not human” He repeated. “Then what the hell is he?” “It’s a bit hard to believe” Ok… maybe I needed to clarify that I knew he was a wolf. This wasn’t like patch at all. “Well, my current boyfriend, meaning you, is a werewolf. Whatever he is can’t be harder to believe than that. What is he like a vampire or something?” I laughed, Patch nodded. “He’s a vampire?” Patch nodded again. “Brilliant!” I shouted sarcastically. “What does he want me for?” “He says you’re not a full vampire yet” Huh? “Full and yet? So I’m like half- vampire” Please say no! “Emmmm… yeah.” How the hell did that happen? “How?” “He said the first time he met you he bit you.” I remember that, he bit my hand randomly. He made me half-vampire???!!!!! “So when he kissed you it somehow activated something. Apparently you will feel different over the next few days” “How do you know this, did you have like a long chat with him?” I shouted angrily. “No, he’s in my mind, he won’t stop” Patch shouted back. “I’m sorry” He kissed me, but it didn’t feel right. Patch didn’t kiss this way, but it was so familiar. “Get off me” I screamed “Why would you do that?” “Do what darling?” “See you have his voice too. Where’s patch?” If this really was patch he would think I was having a mental breakdown but it wasn’t. I knew it wasn’t. “Here. I’m here.” This had to be Tony disguising himself as patch. “What have you done to him?” Tony changed from looking like patch to looking like himself again. I knew it! “How did you know?” Tony asked. “Lots of things stood out about you that patch would never do. So why did you tell me I was half-vampire? To scare me?” I was so relieved I wasn’t a vampire. “It’s true” Tony replied. “Don’t lie” “Want me to prove it?” How would he prove it? “Yes” “Bite me” “Go to hell” “Baby, I’m already in hell” He smiled and put his face close to mine. Now I’m scared “Punch the wall then” I stood still. Tony turned me around and I punched the wall. There was a hole in the wall and my eyes widened. That wall had been rock solid and I had punched a hole in it effortlessly. I pulled my knuckle away from the wall. “See now?” He held my shoulders and I cringed at the pain. “Why do you want me to become full vampire? Why can’t you just leave me with patch?” “Can’t you see? He’s dangerous baby” I turned to face him. “And you aren’t?” I laughed, he frowned. His hand wrapped around my waist and he tightened his grip on me. “No, I’m not. Let me bite you and you can be with me forever, if not I’ll do it by force. Patch doesn’t love you now anyway” That’s true. When he finds out he is going to leave. Tony showed his teeth and kissed my neck. Oh my gosh he was going to bite me. Don’t give in Cassandra! “Leave and give me back patch. You’re lying” “I’ll be back soon sweetie and by the way I don’t have patch he’s out looking for me. He’ll be back in about 5 minutes so I’ll say goodbye” Tony kissed me on the neck but when he made his was to my lips I stepped away from him. He left. I went to lie on my bed, facedown and I cried. Patch walked through the door and put his arm around me. “He came back didn’t he?” I just lay still. This was all he was going to do. He’ll leave soon “Cassandra what did he say? What did he do?” “I thought you were the mind reader” I spat. I can make this a whole lot easier on myself if I make myself hate him. He sat on the bed still for a minute as he read my mind. “I’ll kill him!” He stared at me in shock “Your half –vampire” I started to cry again. He looked at the wall that I had punched and he saw the hole. “Wow” “What do you mean wow? I’m half vampire!! You’re a werewolf!” I screamed at him, walked out of the room and into the bathroom, where I locked the door and cried into the mirror. “Open the door baby. Please” He was still here? “No” “Please, I want to be in there with you. I want to hold you” Was he trying to make me upset? He didn’t want me, he should leave. “No. you should leave, you don’t want me anymore” I cried. “What? Are you crazy? I love you! Of course I want you” He shouted though the door. I stopped crying. “You still love me?” I stammered. “Yes. Where did you get that idea from?” He really wanted me? “Tony” “To hell with him. Please open the door” I tiptoed to the door and unlocked it. Patch grabbed me around the waist and hugged me tight. His head resting on mine. “Please don’t leave me” He kissed me. “I would never. Now it’s nearly 2.00am lets go to bed” Patch picked me up and I fell asleep before he put me down…
