Chapter 9 I was so tired. We had been walking for hours, maybe even days. I nearly fell to the floor every few minutes. Matthew looked at me and sighed; he had a lot more energy than me. “We need to rest. You are going to pass out if we carry on” He said, looking worried about me. “No, I’m fine” I replied. “Just a little tired” “You need to rest” “We need to get out of here. Then I’ll rest” Matthew picked me up in a bridal position and started to walk towards, what looked like, a small cave. That was all I remembered before I fell asleep… I woke. Matthew stood over me, he looked at me and smiled. How long had I been asleep? “How long have I been here?” I asked softly. “3 weeks” No damn way. I looked at him. He wouldn’t lie. “You were tired and in hell 3 earth weeks is like 2 days” So long. “What’s it like?” “It’s awful. Apparently angels in hell can hear the demons speak in their minds” He admitted. I felt so sorry for him, he had to listen to them all day long. “I’m sorry” “It’s fine. You’re safe that’s all I care about” “Let’s try and get out of here” “Yes” He helped me up. How did we get out? Would we ever? We needed a plan before we went out of here. I didn’t want to see Alonzo or his friends ever again. “Matthew? Do you know where we go to get out of here?” “Honestly, no” I sighed “But, I have an idea. I don’t know if it will work” I nodded, wanting him to continue “If I call all of the guardian angels through my power, they would have to come and get us out of here” “Oh my gosh would they come? Won’t they be protecting people?” “No. All of the demons and fallen angels are looking for you, in hell. I still don’t know why they want you so much, they’ve brought you to hell. They should have stopped, they said they didn’t want you anymore” He said, gradually getting louder and louder. I could see the anger in his eyes and I could hear it in his voice. “Matthew, calm down. It’s alright. They won’t get us again and even if they did I wouldn’t care. I love you, that’s all I care about” “But, I love you too much. I don’t want you to go through anything they want to put you through” He said and sighed. We were stood a little away from each other. “Come here” I whispered. “I need you” He slowly took my hand, but then decided it wasn’t enough and pulled me into a hug. I pulled away from him a little and kissed him on the lips. “Now, when can we get out of here?” He smiled. “Now if I can get them to come” He kissed me. I felt light and glowing. What was happening? Matthew broke off the kiss and pulled me closer to him. A bright light appeared in the sky and I heard a loud bang. I held onto his arms tightly, in fear. “It’s ok. We are going to get out of here” Angels surrounded us and my eyes widened. Oh my god. Angels in hell. Matthew kissed me softly and whispered something that sounded like ‘Hold on’. He opened his wings and all the angels, including Matthew, flew up into the sky. Matthew held onto me so tight, I couldn’t breathe. I was glad though, I loved the feeling of being close to him. We were leaving hell and I would be with Matthew. Finally...
