Louise's POV
Chapter 18
I woke up in a really bright place. The light was blinding me. Oh my god was I dead? My eyes slowly got used to the light and I looked around to see that I was in a hospital. God. I can't believe I thought I was dead. I'm such an idiot. Wait... Why was I in a hospital? What had happened? The last thing I remember was bring saved from the car by a guy. Patch I think his name was. Did I dream that he had saved me? Had I really gone off of that cliff? No, I couldn't have. I had a stab wound in my arm and a bruises. If I had gone off that cliff I would either be dead or would have broken something. I would have definably broken something. A nurse walked into my room. She wore a standard, white uniform and held a clip board in her hand. Her shiny, black hair was in a pony. "Oh honey! You're awake" I nodded. Just out of the corner of my eye I saw patch. He stood outside the door. When he saw that I had seen him he turned to leave. No! "Can you go and get that man? Quickly before he leaves" I asked, half begging. She sprinted out of the room. I watched her from the tiny window in the door. She tapped him on the shoulder and said something to him. He followed her back into the room. I thanked her. "I'll leave you two alone" She told us before walking out. A few minutes went by in silence before Patch spoke up. "What do you remember?" He asked "Nothing. You saved me from the car, right?" He nodded.
Patch's POV
She couldn't remember. Nothing about what I was. Nothing about Ben and Mr Jenson. Nothing about me. I had to make a choice. One that i'll probably regret, but I had to stick to it. I couldn't go back. This is what she needed. I would do it for her. Of course i'd be there to protect her. Only i'd watch from the sidelines. If she ever came into any trouble I would save her. "Forget me. Forget that I saved you. Just forget everything" I wanted to take it back the moment I said it, but I knew I couldn't. This is what she needs! Don't bring her back into this. You can't protect her if she stays. She might end up dead. "W-what?" She stuttered. "Forget me" That's when I ran out of the door. I ran to my car and drove away for good.
