Chapter 15 PATCH'S POV I woke up at the bottom of the hill. It turned out that Mr Jenson was working for Ben, the idiot that had Louise. Mr Jenson had forced me to be something I didn't want or need to be anymore. A wolf. But I couldn't think about that now. How long had I been here? Days? Weeks? Was Louise still in danger? Or was she dead...? I heard a car engine and voices. Could that possibly be Ben and Mr Jenson. I got up and ran. Pouncing on the car and ripping the door off to find a family... Two children crying with a 6 month old baby, a mother cowering away from me but begging for me to keep her children alive and a father who shouted in fear. I knew what I was then. A monster. I ran away, leaving the family. I wasn't a human, not now, not ever. I was a wolf and everyone would always be afraid of me, even Louise. There was only one thing I wanted to do and I knew I could do it. Find Louise, even if she hated me this way. I ran around the woods trying to get a sent and when I got it I left. No more time would be wasted. This would be right or I would never see Louise ever again....
