CHAPTER 6: The man
I woke at about 3:30AM. Patch was fast asleep next to me. Wait... Was I in a bed? Didn't I fall asleep on the couch? Haha Patch must have taken me up here. Awww. I sat up in bed. It was really dark and I needed a drink. should I get up? Or Should I get close to Patch and fall back to sleep? Drink. I needed a drink. Silently, I crept out of bed, trying not to wake patch. I tip-toed down the stairs and into the kitchen. Two minutes later I had satisfied my thirst. There was a small window in the kitchen that I decided to take a look out of. A man in black stood at the edge of the forest. I jumped and took a few steps back. He was staring at me. Was he real or was that just my imagination? I took another look.... Suddenly, I felt hands on my shoulders. I took in a large breath ready to scream and turned around quickly. "It's alright. It's me" Patch whispered softly. God. It was only patch. I sighed in relief. "Wow. Are you ok?" My breath was short and fast. "Yeah. I'm fine I guess. I just thought I saw...." I looked behind me and out of the window. He had gone.... "Saw....?" Patch urged "Nothing" I replied "Sure?" "Yeah. Anyway..... I'm sorry did I wake you? I only came down for a drink" "No, you didn't wake me. I kinda sense when you aren't around" I raised my eyebrow but I think he missed it in the dark. So I guessed I had to say something.... "You do?" "Yeah. It's really weird actually"
