Take me away to where the grass is green.
I'm stuck in a black and white movie, I need a change of scene.
I've been to many perplexing places.
I've seen a hundred seasons and a million faces.
I was in L.A,
Where the actors stay and the dancers play.
In the crowd on Venice Beach.
Where once sane artists have wisdom to teach.
Winters in Rome.
Stand and watch the Colosseum.
My friends are stuck with their girls.
I wish that I could see them.
December's come and gone.
I'll pack a bag and fly to Hong Kong.
Blinded by night lights in Victoria Peek.
But they still dont have what I want or I seek.
Days pass and I'm in Dubai.
Where city smog mars once blue skies.
And difference is met with shielded curious eyes.
Fall asleep on a train and wake in france.
"Parlez français s'il vous plaît"
I probably should have learned in advance.
I'll check out frisco like redding and sit on the dock of the bay.
Watching my troubles float away.
I don't think I'll ever know.
If home is where I grew my bones?
Or the place that I was supposed to go.
I'm not running.
I'm searching.
For a place where the ghosts of my past are'nt lurking.
But I don't want to have to do this alone.
Spending my days...
Looking for a home unknown.
