I look back as I face ahead, take your jagged blade and cut my frayed thin thread.

I hang loose and then I fall, into mud and off the ball.

I can't be me, not when you're watching.
Can't draw back the arms that you're all clutching.

I have no time for all the gossip.
My words are free, they're not for profit.

I don't want you here.
So please disappear.

Can't keep you at bay.
So please go away.

You may fool me once.
