I live for yesterday, there's no time to plan my actions.

Sitting on old leather, close my eyes and watch the patterns.

Counting sheep to fall asleep, breathing slow but nothing happens.

Light a cigarette, no regrets. Making smoke filled sillhouetes.

Classic jazz, devil's song. Subtle peace but not for long.

Feel the burn, single malt. Clear my conscience, not my fault.

Spilling ink, filling pages. Writing fate that always changes.

Lively branches tap my window. And call me out from midnight limbo.

City air pulls at my hair. I taste the breeze and stop and stare.

Breathe it in it soothes my heart. Desolation city art.

Street lamps light up pretty faces. We're life's guests from different places.

High heels click and stop before my shadow. Exit signs with faded arrows.

Lazy squawks form lullabies. Wish me well and say goodbye.

The clouds take on an orange glow. I'm dancing in a one man show.

As night passes, so it is the sun rises. Another day of life's surprises.

A new song, a brand new intro. I'll come back soon to midnight limbo.
