Spending time now payment's overdue. Jump off the road they said was tried and true. Grasping fate in both my hands, throw it high and watch it fall in strands.

Put on my shoes I have to go, yes I'm the running man. The streets are full so I keep running through a traffic jam.

You give me cautious words because I'm a man without a plan. But I've no time for sense, not when I don't give a damn.

Kiss the city and the world goodnight. Changing colours turn from grey to blurry black and white. In the darkness I'll steal some peace. Waiting for the sun to signal my release.

Standing short inside the morning train. Spot a girl who has a made up name. Waste a day inside my hotel room. Lose your brain but not your high heel shoes.

I know the truth I have the evidence. They want to steal away our innocence. Don't you worry because mines long gone. You turned right when I turned wrong.

I hear every word you try to say, and your games you know I'm bound to play. You can push and scream and shout. But somehow you know that I'm not tapping out.

I accept my wrongs I don't make no excuse. Just watch them fall into half a glass of silly juice. Pinch my skin, I know I'm real. But I can't sense the things I need to feel.

It's probably time I started making plans. For you to crush inside your bloodied hands. Your cold and oh so cruel. I was born naive but not a fool.

Darkness falls, grab my coat and light a cigarette...

Scalding water works to wash away the blood and sweat...

This life's a gun, I guess that means that I'm a threat...

Spin the barrel close your eyes and play russian roulette.

You say let go, you have to know the rules are set.

But I'm not done.

At least not yet.
