"Tom! Will you please hurry up? I'm starving!" I banged on the bathroom door trying to get my boyfriend to hurry up. My best friend Ailis rolled her eyes and walked downstairs to the kitchen where mum and dad were waiting for us so we could eat lunch. Tom opened the door and we walked downstairs hand-in-hand. I walked into the kitchen and gasped. "Surprise Maddy!" 4 adults said and I squealed. Mrs Jones, Mrs Read, Miss Stirrut and Miss Agutter were some of my teachers when I was at prep school 2 years ago. I hugged them all in turn and introduced them to Ailis and Tom. After giving them a tour of the house and showing them where they were sleeping, we sat down for lunch, it was a bit of a squezze with 9 of us. Miss Stirrut and Miss Agutter said they would sleep in the flat above the garage so that ment Mrs Jones and Mrs Read would sleep in the guest bedroom since we had two twin beds. "What are we doing after lunch?" I asked as I helped myself to bread. "We could go into Tavistock or Plymouth?" mum said looking at me. I turned to Ailis, "When are you going home?" I looked at my watch and saw it was 12:00. "In a few hours." Ailis answered. "I think we should go into Plymouth." Tom said and I agreed. We ate lunch and Ailis and I went upstairs to get ready. We came downstairs and we piled into the Land Rover. Mum & Dad were in the front with the teachers on the middle row and Ailis, Tom and I sitting on the seats in the boot. Ailis and I were listening to music and singing along to it while Tom was moaning about our singing. 30 minutes later we arrived in Plymouth and after parking the car we walked into Drake Circus Shopping Centre. "Are you three going to wonder off on your own?" Dad asked. We looked at each other and nodded, after setting a time to meet we all went our seperate ways. "Where shall we go first?" Tom asked. "River Island!" Ailis and I said, Tom rolled his eyes and we went up the escalator to the first floor. After buying a few clothes in River Island we went next door to Topshop where we bought more clothes. I was using my gift cards from christmas so after shopping at Topshop and wondering around Topman for Tom, we went back downstairs and went into Waterstones and WHSmith. We walked out of Waterstones and saw everybody waiting for us by Marks & Spencer. "Are you three finished?" Mum asked. "Nope." Ailis said. I frowned at her and gave her a questioning look. "We have to go to ShakeAway." Ailis said looking at me. "Race you there!" I said to Ailis and we ran off. We heard the adults and Tom follow us and ran faster, dogging people. Some people gave us weird looks as they saw two 16 year old girls running down the high street. We went in and bought our milkshakes, when we came out the adults were waiting for us. At 2:30 we dropped Ailis off at her house and we went back home.
