Chapter 5:
He smiled cheekily. "Yes me again."
"What do you want?" I asked.
"I'm allowed to take late night walks of my own, aren't I?" He asked.
I rolled my eyes and stood up. "Sure, whatever." Just when I started to walk away, he stood up and jogged to keep up with me. "Hey, where are you going?"
I walked faster. "Back to the building."
Right then, he stopped jogging. "You don't know where it is."
I stopped walking. Shit, he's right. But I'm not gonna tell him that. "Of course I do." I said as I started to walk again. I had only walked a few steps when I felt a hand grab my wrist and spin me around.
I shook his hand free and furrowed my brow. "Why must you grabbed me by the wrist? Do you not see how violent that action is? If you must touch me, couldn't you at least just grab my hand? It's much kinder, gentler, less-aggressive gesture. Maybe if you had done so in the first place I wouldn't be as much as a bitch to you."
The boy's eyes went wide and his mouth parted for a moment.
Speechless. Good.
I quickly strutted away. When I looked back for a moment, I noticed Tom still standing there, eyeing me. I turned away from him, slightly blushing. I had only walked a few steps when he decided to speak again.
"The building's that way." he said from behind me.
I turned around to see him pointing to the opposite direction of where I was headed. I felt my cheeks burning instantly. I must have looked pretty stupid because he laughed.
"What are you laughing at?" I asked, trying to sound angry even though I was obviously surpressing a smile.
"You're cute when you blush." he said with a wink.
I rolled my eyes. Cheeky bastard. I walked towards the direction he was pointing.
"You're going back already?" he asked as he caught up with me.
"Obviously." I said. But he blocked my way by stepping right in front of me. "You can't."
"And why is that?" I said as I attempted to overpass him to the side, but he was just as quick. He blocked my way.
"Can you let me pass, please?" I asked.
He chuckled. "I'll let you go... once we play truth or dare."
"Nope, never."
"Why not baby?"
"Please don't call me baby." I cringed.
"Do I really repulse you that much? Most girls think I'm sexy."
"Most girls are idiots."
He laughed. "Truth or dare."
"No."
"Why?"
I sighed heavily. "I really don't want to play truth or dare with someone I just met on the streets at 3 AM. For all I know you'll go searching on the internet and start to stalk me. Soon enough, I'll walk in my room late at night and find you hiding in my closet."
"Better yet, your shower." He wiggled his eyebrows.
"Ugh. You're disgusting." I pushed his chest.
"Why are you even awake this time of day?" He asked.
"Why are you even awake?"
"Ah, you're a clever one, you know."
"Yes, I do know." I gave one hard push and he was finally off. I slipped away and started walking at a quick pace.
I was surprised when I found him walking right next to me. "You're pretty tall, you know."
"I'm aware. Now leave me alone."
"I don't think that's going to happen."
"So you are stalker?" I raised my eyebrows.
"If that's what you want me to be, baby."
"Oh my god." I groaned and quickly walked down the road.
