"It's only first year, you'll be fine, all you need to do is pass"
Pass isn't good enough, you should always try your best. I don't want to just pass, I want to do well. Parents work hard to give me a good education and lifestyle, and the only way I can repay them is by doing well. They say 'just try your best, that's all you can do' but that's not enough, I want to aim high and get the result. Being in first year shouldn't be an excuse to just pass.
