Auburn curls framed her delicate face. I brushed her hair over her shoulder and pressed my lips to her neck, savoring the smell and the taste of her. As my lips moved toward her defined jaw, she gently pushed on my shoulder.
I quizzically looked into her hazel eyes.
"I just don't want my mom to walk in on us," she whispered, trailing her nails down my arms. Goosebumps arose in their wake.
I nodded and bit my lip, desperately wishing that I could kiss her right then.
"But I'll tell you what, though. Once we're done studying this chapter, let's get out of here."
I grinned and leaned into her, my lips brushing hers, but at the sound of footsteps she roughly shoved me away.
"Hey girls, how's the studying going?" her mom asked, stopping behind the back of the couch that we were sitting on.
"It's so boring," I complained with a sigh.
"We're almost done though. We're gonna go out afterward," she said.
"Ok. Well I gotta go to the grocery store so lock the door when you leave," her mom advised.
She nodded and her mom headed straight for the door.
I smiled mischievously at her. "Hey, we're alone."
The corners of her lips perked up. "It appears so." She moved onto my lap and kissed me hard, my hands tangling in her mass of curls.
The front door swung open and her mom stormed in cursing.
"Shit, I forgot..." Her mom's voice trailed off as she stared at us, her daughter in my arms. We stared back, unmoving.
"Um...hi, mom..."
