4 December 2012

I glared at the couple that had taken my rightful seat, but they didn’t notice me because they were so freakin engrossed in each other. I sighed and walked to stand in the far corner of the room. I folded my arms over my chest and observed the party. It was certaintly crazy. Everybody was doing some sort of illegal activity and either hooking up or grinding like no tomorrow. I shifted uncomfortably, feeling creepy for watching but lonely for not having anyone to do anything dirty with. I sighed again.

“Heyyyy,” she slurred as she raised her stereotypical red cup in salutation. I smiled feebly. “Glad you came!” she chirped, grasping my shoulder and shaking me a little bit. “Did you come with anybody?” I solemnly shook my head. She nodded her head slowly, evidently having difficulty in comprehending ‘no.’ “Wellll,” she sighed, taking her hand off my shoulder. “More boys for you.” I chuckled and she flashed me a confused smile. “I better be off, got some making up to do.” She winked and stumbled up the stairs. That was the first time that she talked to me without me buying from her.

It was almost midnight, and David’s party was still going hard. But there was no sign of David. I didn’t know what he looked like, but I knew his reputation. And from what I heard, I pictured him to be a massively buff guy covered in tatts and with a rigid expression on his face. He sounded tough as hell. Apparently he’s even shot a guy and got away with it. I observed the faces, but none seemed to match my description of him. I got antsy suddenly, really wanting to meet him. But that may have been just because of the meth that I just snorted. I closed my eyes and leaned against the wall, willing my hyperness to dissolve in a puddle at my feet. My feet. Calm. I felt myself lose my balance and I snapped open my eyes just as I was about to fall onto a new couple who had stolen my seat, but a pair of hands grasped my arm and kept me on my feet. I stared at the paw on my arm, following the arm that was attached to it which led to a man. A tall man with eyes in his head. Two eyes. I looked frantically from one eye to the other, disbelieving. “Are you okay?” the man asked. “Hm? Oh, uh, yeah,” I mumbled, realizing that my feet weren’t holding me up, but that he was. I focused on leaning my weight on my feet, but instead he dragged me to the couch and threw me over his lap on my back. “Just relax for awhile, okay? The effects will diminish eventually,” he whispered while petting my hair.

Feeling numb and scared, I nodded and closed my eyes. I didn’t wake up for a long time after that.
