His features were softened as he slept. I watched his chest rise and fall with every deep breath that he took through his parted lips. I blushed as I admired his lips, recalling the way that they burned as he traced them across my skin.
I shifted, wanting to get a better view, but the motion caused his blonde eyelashes to flutter. I lay immobile, holding my breath, waiting...watching. He seemed to fall back into his sleepy stupor, and I wriggled out from his strong arms.
I stood at the foot of his bed, staring at his immobile form. But before my emotions could get tangled in the sheets with him, I turned away and stalked out the door.
I wasn't going to let myself get attached to just another one night stand.
