Good job to everyone! 24 entries of quality stuff makes it tough to judge, but rewarding as well.
First some random awards to various deserving writers:
People's Choice Award to @ckahn, for Impossible Beauty, a well executed biting social commentary that got the most likes of anything.
Candid Camera Award to @Delilah, for a good natured, arrestingly frank snapshot of family dynamics.
Medal of Courage to @DarkPrincessGirl and @MelchiorJ13 for soul baring honesty amid tragedy.
Collaborative Potential Award to @isntitnot for A Strange Encounter, the only prose entry, and one that deserves a look and some feedback.
Bronze Medals for getting into final consideration: @HeatherAnne for Sad, Yet Grateful, a sweet remembrance for lost, loved pets. @Georgiastar for Photograph! a clever and well done acronym poem. @leelee101 for all 3 entries, especially the intriguingly thought provoking "box" @MrsS for Where Does the Time Go? Hope the little nipper had a wonderful birthday! @naaviie for To Remember, a poignant, touching piece.
Here's where it gets hard. Separated by the thinnest of hairs, Sliver Medals to: @Burrfoot for Love Captured, a captivating, bittersweet portrayal of love soured. And, @madhatter for Dust and Dreams, a wonderfully whimsical and colorfully vibrant poetic excursion.
And the Gold Medal, and all the wealth and fame that goes with it, to: @Timmsyy for Chant of the Watergirl, an inventive and haunting piece cleverly featuring a poem within a poem.
He did warn me that he was going to be traveling briefly, and wouldn't be able to get to initiating the next challenge immediately, so we will have to be a little patient with that. But, that gives everyone a chance to get caught up on all the fine efforts they may have missed the first time around.
Congratulations to everyone, and strut your awards with pride!
