I'm a man, I'm an ape and a primate. I'm a mammal and an air breathing vertebrate, A multicellular eukaryote, And my family is billions of years old.

I'm a man, a collection of atoms, Oft exchanged, yet arranged in a pattern That's described by an intricate code Passed down in 46 chromosomes.

I'm a man, I'm a runner and a hunter, Bred to track and pursue my quarry under The sun on the plains of ancient Africa. I provide with my eyes and brains and stamina.

I'm a man, I'm a storm of emotion That underpins every motivation. I'm aware, a moral agent making choices, The result of my internal voices.

I'm a man, and I seek to comprehend The universe I find myself within. My mind is at home among the stars, Reaching out through time and space, near and far.
