Dear Future Self

Vivian, don't read this again until September 2013.

Well I really want to know how exams went... Right now you're stressed out to the max. by life in general. You've been a bit ill for the past few weeks, and constantly exhausted, you can't deny it. Nana thinks it's stress. What do you think in hindsight?

So did you pass? Did you fall flat on your face and get rejected by all your universities? That really would be a shame you know, you're destined for great things if you'd only put in the effort...

So you're unmotivated. Push yourself harder!
So you had a crazy 2012. It's a new year, rewrite history.

Ah yes- History. You get a break from that for a year now. And all your other subjects, they're done now. Over. Gone.
Do you miss them yet? The people, not the subjects. You will.
You're already missing people, even though you met some incredible ones this year to 'replace' them.
You won't be able to replace these lot. These lot around you now are incredible. Appreciate the support you have around you. They all give great hugs.

You had a good thing going last year. Crazy, and tiring, but amazing. That will always be there. I don't think you can rewrite that story. But you've been forgiven anyway. You know that, right?

So right now things are....I don't even know the right adjective. But you know what I mean anyway.

Wow I just realised, you'll be reading this after having been to South Africa. That's on a continent you've never been to before. (I cannot believe she thought Africa was a country...!) Right now I'm so excited. Re-reading this I'm guessing you feel like trawling back through the photos you took there and re-living the whole thing.
You're incredibly blessed you know... Maybe you didn't realise before, but I hope you do now.

Life is hard but you gotta work through it. Don't give up because you're the strength for other people. You're their comfort and confidence and confidant. Literally, what is it with people easily opening up to you? Don't get me wrong- I love being this person, being there for anyone that happens to want to ramble. Do they still do that?
He never really rambled. She did. So did she. And her too. Maybe it's a girl thing...

So yes, congrats on any life success you've had over the past nine months, and just be you (once you've figured out who that is...)
