Iselian was a jester, though not a natural clown. Born with harsh deformities, an odd ball of the town.
An outcast from his village, now a servant of the throne. He took the torment and beatings, for the job came with a home.
His body was warped and twisted, and he stood just four foot tall. He would dance for the kings amusement, though he detested acting the fool.
Iselian had a beautiful mind, but his body kept him a slave. His intellect not reflected, in the way he was forced to behave.
Thirty years he served the kingdom, thirty years he served the crown. Thirty years he hid his misery, thirty years he played the clown.
But the king he had a temper, and one night he was not pleased. He beat the life from Iselian, and at last the fool was freed.
