I made you make a promise to me, I knew you could never keep. But I'm still hurt, And it makes me upset, That you couldn't.
You were my superhero.
"Nan, promise me you won't go anywhere. Say it."
"Promise."
I wasn't ready for you to leave me. I'm too young, too naïve. Too stupid. Your love engulfed me, I feel it's absence, I miss you every day.
I'm sorry I made you promise me something you couldn't keep.
That broken promise fills the gap between us.
