I haven't commented or done much today on opuss. Mainly because I have spent much of the afternoon sitting in a hospital outpatients (again) hearing things I didn't particularly want to hear (again). So I just wanted to say thank you for the likes and reposts and comments. I am bemused and a bit humbled by the strange warm feeling that those little hearts engender. How does that work then eh? Affirmation and confidence building by people we'll never meet. Good old technology and good old human nature! THANKYOU.
The next bit of ramble is about good old NHS. I sat waiting, chuntering inside ( if they are going to run over an hour late, make the appointments an hour later, coffee machine'd be nice, free magazines, better still books - 'war and peace' would do, have I got time for a wee - no would bound to be called). Afterwards I thought that if we've waited an extra hour, they've gone home an hour later, and actually we have been seen by someone who is interested in making us better, not in wether or not we can pay him or are insured. No matter how much I don't want to hear stuff, it has to be said and I will not have to get out my credit card to ensure we get the next test or operation. Not perfect by any means, mistakes are made and its staffed by humans, but all in all one of our better ideas I think!
