I opened my eyes. Everything was blurry. I could tell I was still in the forest because I could almost taste musky pine trees on my tongue. All I could really see clearly was piercing green eyes that were looking down at me. But as of now, they felt welcoming.

It was a boy holding his hand out. I took his hand and got up. "Hello." He welcomed. I was dizzy. "What happened?" I asked. "You ran into me... quite hard." He responded. "I stayed here to make sure you were okay."

I gave him a puzzled look. I had never seen this boy before here and I have basically lived in this forest since I moved here at the age of two.

"I'm Curtis." he declared proudly. "I'm May." I murmured, "I've never seen you in the forest before." "That is because I'm new around here." Curtis answered, as if I was supposed to know.

"What brings you to the forest?" I inquired. "I trying to find the school." Curtis stated. "City boy, eh?" I chuckled. "How'd you know?" Curtis queried. "This town doesn't have a lot of people; it's a schoolhouse." I asserted. "And I'll show you where it is." I grabbed his hand and pulled him in the direction of the schoolhouse.

It was defiantly a scary sight. The trees covered most of the sky and I could no longer smell that fresh pine scent that always lingered in the part of the forest I usually go to. We were definitely nowhere near the schoolhouse. I had gotten us lost.

"Ma-ma-ma-may?" Curtis stammered . " "Yes, Curtis?" I bellowed as I grasped a tree branch. "It's getting awfully late!" "Don't be such a scared-y cat." I mocked while swinging around so I was sitting up-right on the tree. "Wow!" He exclaimed. "Thats high! I've never climbed a tree before." "Well I'll show you." I announced.

"I really think I should be getting home." Curtis stuttered.
