I felt wood on my bare hands. My legs swung up onto a branch. I finally sat up. I felt as if the warm sun wrapped around me like a blanket. All I could think about was right now. "MAY!!!!!" A loud voice boomed through the forest. My legs scraped against that scratchy wood. I fell onto the hard dirt ground. I felt a sharp pain in my knee. A little girl, with curly blonde hair was standing in front of me. "Hiya, May!" she joyfully exclaimed. "Poppy!" I groaned. "Why'd you do that?" She gasped at my gashed knee. "Oh May, were you climbing that tree again!? Oh May, you're much too old for that! Oh May!" Poppy fretted. "Poppy, I'm fine!" I said. Her angry little face looked down at me. "May Camille Sanders you better get up right now or I'm telling mama!" Poppy stressed in her cute little accent. I got up and limped home. The dirt ground was rough on my bare feet. I pushed the door open and walked into my large, cold home. The apple-cinnamon scented air seemed unwelcoming as always. "Mama!" I yelled, "I'll be outside!" "Okay!" her voice boomed through the house. I rummaged through a drawer in my kitchen. When my hand touched a band-aid, I tore the paper off and slapped it on my knee. I ran back into the forest. I felt the hot summer sun on my face. "May!!!!" I heard Poppy's little voice yell in the distance. I kept running and running. Suddenly, I felt something on the front of me. All I could see was darkness.
