The next day, there was a thin sheet of fresh white snow on the forest floor. There was gray clouds covering sunlight. The air was fresh and pure.
I flipped up the head on my cloak.
"Hello? … Hello?" I yelled, hoping to see those blue eyes once again. "Is anyone there?"
Crystal blue eyes peeked out from behind a large tree.
I squealed with joy.
He turned his back to run away. "NO!" I screamed. "I won't hurt you… I promise."
He slowly walked toward me.
I saw the rest of him. He had dark brown hair and very light skin. And those ice blue eyes.
"I'm Angelina." I croaked.
The boy looked at me. His eyes widened. He took a deep breath.
Then he ran unbelievably fast away from me.
"Come back!" I yelled, running after him. I was so curious to who he was and why he was in this forest.
He was out of sight.
I sat down by a tree, breathless.
I sat for a while.
Then, I felt someone standing in front of me.
It was the boy.
I looked down at me with those blue eyes that gave me goosebumps. He stretched out his hand towards me. I took it and he pulled me up.
He motioned for me to come with him.
I came with him to what seemed like an abandoned campsite. It was a clearing with wood for fire in the middle and a log in front of the fire that seemed like it would be used for a bench.
He sat on the log and motioned for me to sit with him. I did.
"So what brings you to the forest?" I asked.
"Shhh!" he whispered. "Don't be too loud or they'll find you."
I nodded, but I had no clue what he was talking about.
"Why'd you run away?" I breathed.
"Don't ask questions like that or I'll do it again." He grumbled.
I nodded again.
"Okay I'll start with a simple question." I mumbled, "What's your name?"
"My name is Glade." He muttered.
Suddenly, there was a rustle in the bushes.
"Go! Go! Go!" Glade exclaimed. "They're coming!"
"Who's coming?" I questioned. "Who's they?"
He frantically pushed me to safety then ran the other direction.
I got up from there and ran home to my little cottage by the forest.
