I couldn't wait till tomorrow to try my dress, I grabbed Danny by the hand and ran to our room.

I took the dress into the closet and changed, the silk against my skin felt cold but smooth, like ice on my tongue. I told Danny to cover his eyes and where he was until I said he could look.

I stood in front of him, held my breath and said "ok, open your eyes."

As he opened his eyes, I searched for an expression on his face. I couldn't, until he smiled and pulled me towards him.

We spent the night kissing - mainly, and then my phone rang, "not now!" I mumbled.

It was father, he wanted to talk, I went to see him in his room.

He had wanted to talk about collage, his hair was greasy, he looked tired, and I knew why, he had spent days trying to get me into Oxford. Not for dance... That wasn't an option, for medicine! I didnt want to be a nurse, I didn't want to spend my days in a hospital. I wanted to be on stage, dancing, as a ballerina.

Danny said it was a bad idea, and I knew he meant it because he talked to my dad, he talked to the man I feared most. This meant something.

"I've only got three months left at Oxford, then I can be with you!" he explained.

I smiled, this still didn't change things with my father, Until I called Oxford.

I explained everything and accepted my scholarship to The Royal.

Danny and his mother were arguing, what they didn't realise was that I could hear every word thru were saying, it should have been something I saw coming.
