Hey ... Sorry again for the lateness. And thanks for writing... Some really intelligent, emotive and witty pieces.
I have to say I started out with an agenda; I wanted to see if someone could capture the rush and uplift and wonder of euphoria in words.
Then you changed it all by surprising me with a huge variety of takes on the theme. So here we go:
In third place: @Glen -'Magic Kit' @Eddie12309 - 'Desperate' Great funny, witty gems. Superb!
In second place: @MelchiorJ13 - with 'Euphoria' and its fantastic language and a sense of up rush @jamtots -' Paradise' - beautiful melancholy here and final sense of euphoric release
But in first place, with a passionate and ironic take on euphoric misdirection it's the absolutely razor-sharp 'Newspaper' by @Leelee101
If ever there was a case for an Opuss anthology of outstanding writing, this competition is it.
