Storm looked at his mother aghast! He shook his silver fur ferociously then he growled and yipped "why me Mama?" Dusk sighed and gave an angry glare at her mate Snow. "Because your the one Storm! You are our savior! The one that will guide us!" said Snow confidently. Storm sighed then glared at each of his parents then angrily ran back to camp, fighting back tears.
"I told you it wasn't a good time!" growled Dusk her gold eyes flashing hatred towards her mate Snow. "Well Dusk we all make mistakes, like when you accidentally led us east not north!" he snapped back, then he got up and walked away. Dusk just sat there looking at the stars. She wished she could protect her pack from the truth about why Storm is the pup of the prophecy, not just for now but forever...
Meanwhile Storm was huddled up in a tight ball underneath a little bush, his brothers and sisters where all at the main denning area. He knew the pack was going to begin traveling again tomorrow and he would have to confront his parents and his litter mates. He hated his life, a young pup like him should be in a stable pack with plenty of food and playtime! Not in this scary forest filled with predators and unknown territory! Suddenly a pup crawled under the small bush. "Sky! What are you doing here?" Storm barked angrily. "I'm here to be your friend Storm, what's a storm without its sky?" responded Sky her grey eyes sparkling with kindness. Storm smiled and sat down next to her and sighed. "Your worried about something aren't you?" asked Sky. "Well, I found out I'm the pup of the prophecy..." Storm said looking down, he didn't know if he should be proud or embarrassed! Sky gasped "no Storm! You can't be the pup of the prophecy! Have you even heard it?" Storm looked up startled by the urgency in Sky's voice "no... Should I have already heard it?" Sky rolled her eyes then barked "go see the elders! They will tell you the prophecy, you need to hear it!" So Storm walked towards the elders, little did he know his life was about to change forever...
