He'd never been onboard a ship, living his whole life in the Midwest, but he'd often read about them as a boy. So he began to look around when he spotted her.
The most beautiful creature he'd ever seen in his life was standing hidden in the shadows. Long blond hair tied back with a red bandana, a tooth hanging from one ear, and a black dress that showed a pleasing amount of cleavage. He guessed that she was a pirate, judging from the stories he'd loved when he was young. She was watching him, not with revulsion or fear, but with what could only be described as frank curiosity.
