When u get a dog u haft to set up boundaries don't allow it into Ur room/office put baby gates up. Never ever let it in those bounties on purpose dogs are slick they could push the gate open,they could even jump over it! So watch them. If u have a 2 story house put a gate up by the stairs. A couple yrs later if u think Ur dog was ready. It will know in its head that u can't go their. Training Ur dog is very hard really hard to get it listing to u get a bottle and some loose change and shake it. Tell the command "sit" then push its rear end down sit or lay down in the beginning u should expect then later teach it to sit up then lay down Ur dog must be siting in order to lay-down say"lay down" then pull its front paws down to the floor.teaching it to shake just lifting its paw up and saying"shake" once they learned How to shake say other paw lifting up the opposite paw they first shook with. Teaching yr dog to high 5 first say "shake-a-high-five" the dog recionzes that one word "shake" and gives u a high five. Later as in a couple weeks say high five and they will do it! U must take Ur dog for a walk daily depending on the dog and how active it is.to teach Ur fog how to walk for all dogs really purchase a leather leash.those are good ones. Do not let the dog pull u are the boss u control it when it pulls stop and wait for it to come back to u or if that doesn't work, go in a circle if that doesn't work give them s little
Pound with Ur foot not to hard. So they won't get ahead of u put a long stick while it is walking stick in one hand leash in the other. Always put Ur dog on the left side of u. Always carry a plastic bag with u and have a " doggy stop" where u have Ur dog explore don't let it off the leash.for 20 min or so. When u get a new puppy get chew toys kong is the best brand in my option.
