Singaporeans would know what reservist entails and how dreaded it is. For the benefit of those who do not know, reservist is like serving the military. Except, this is more like a refresher course. It is less taxing physically but you are much more susceptible to lethargy.
Today is my second of 18 days in camp. It's an hour and a half journey from my place and, in a 10 kilometres diameter, there's nothing outside of this area that is worth doing. It is just cemeteries and hot baking tar for the whole of 10 kilometres. We will only manage to end today's lesson by 8 pm. The horror!
I am currently reminded of Einstein's relativity theory: Put your hand on a hot stove and a minute will feel like and hour. Put a pretty girl talking beside a guy and an hour will seem like a minute.
I hope this reservist will be like a pretty girl sitting beside me.
