5 December 2012
I've been waiting in anticipation With tingles in my toes The closer that Christmas gets The more the feeling grows
I've tried with all my might To be good for all this year I know I have been naughty And that is what causes fear
I keep hearing funny noises Hoping he'll be back He's been here every year Carrying his big red sack
I hear bells jingling But it's just the collar on the cat And scratching on the roof Or is it just a rat?
Down the chimney falls some dirt It must be birds scratching about But wait! I hear something larger And suddenly it's Santa who jumps out
He looks me in the eye And says "Excuse me Miss, I think I must be in the wrong house. Can you tell me where number 97 is?"
