Our revolution like all others had no beginning. Just a start. The balloon of hatred towards our French aristocrats and their “Ancien Régime” was inflating before anyone can remember. It just happened to pop then. The massas of people started to gather and amass revolutionaries. The once venerated king and queen were now wanted without their heads. Due to this avowed supporters of the king kept a nonstop vigil. Though his troops and new decrees were able to revert some of our angers by force, for the most part it was to his detriment for it instigated us and increased our anger tenfold. Then after quite a lengthy time we were able to try King Louis XVI and his wife Marie. Devoid of all contempt for them and the tether holding us to their tyranical rule broken, their necks were to be maimed by the guillotine. The day of his sentencing was a large one. There were hot congested crowds full of people jostling other people. Louis XVI tried to recite a speech before he went to his death. It was probably just a small excerpt, but as he did to us, we forced him to comply with our wish of he show to start already. Then signified by a roar of cannon fire, the head of the king rolled.
